Not for a second was I suggesting it....context clues help. I was suggesting if the team that plays the best team ball has one of the largest analytic departments, clearly the two are compatible. It's approaching an undebatable argument that there are some benefits to analytics.

Right, Morey telling the Rockets to take as many threes as possible to increase the team's chances of winning is no different than Barkley yelling on TNT that Blake Griffin has to average at least 10 rebounds to make his team a contender.
I agree with analytics and think they are important. Each player has analytics that tells them and other teams where they are most effective/ineffective. My questions is are we playing to our strengths vs. what analytics tells us? For example, the analytics tells us that Josh Smith should never take 3's, however, lately he's making more of them and Corey Brewer who was on fire is now not shooting as effectively.
Yep. The author is a moron and should have that title next to his name. Anyone who constructs arguments such as Analytics vs. Basketball Knowledge or Stas vs. Eyeball Test simply has no clue what advanced statistics are all about when it comes to sports.

I don't think you are following along very well. Everyone knows that you are the OP, but that doesn't mean you wrote the article you linked to....the person you were responding to called the author of the article you linked to a moron based on the premise of their awful article, you then responded with your resume.....see how that could be confusing to people that were actually following along?

There is some merit in the arguments, but the thesis of the author (and thus the premise) is creating a false dichotomy between things that are not in mutual exclusion nor in opposition to each other. Package the points in a different premise and it might be a pretty good piece.
