Looking like the Suns are gonna make another horrible decision and keep Dragic. We don't need to bail them out by going after IT with the possibility of Knight, Reggie, Lawson, Dwill, ect. being availible.
The guy is tied with John Wall to lead the league in assists right now. I think Dragic is a better player maybe, but I'd be much more intrigued with a player that can get Harden and co. BETTER SHOTS rather than just another player who TAKES SHOTS. If Denver's team building method was "Star or Bust" and asset mgmt over everything than I'd say the Rockets had a chance, but all indication is post-Melo that Denver wants to build more or less like a Hawks-type of team. That makes Lawson, Nurkic, and Faried very valuable in the next phase where they can fit right in a brand new lineup with different coaching next year and beyond. Denver's team direction made a Lawson trade very difficult from the get go. Still, I'd argue he might actually be a better fit for this team than even a more talented player like Gogi.
What is the right price for a given player? Durant, Curry, LBJ for Harden? More, less? Remember, the hoops mensa who said Harden would never be a star, never a lead player. One guy was right; one wrong on that. These are experts and each has his own determinants.
I wouldn't trade Harden for Lebron right now. I'm not even being a homer. We have quite possibly the best player in the league at 25 years old.
lol? Can someone validate cyberx here? I recall him saying that the Rockets would consider D-Mo + NOP pick for Dragic, but never have I read him saying that the Suns wanted that. Of course, I haven't read this entire thread, but can someone validate this claim of his; that he has stated months ago that the Suns wanted this?
I DO NOT want D Will, that dude is ****ing done. The last thing we need is another injured player on a huge contract.
I think Morey would seriously consider an offer for AD straight up. But in the end both teams will say no. Rockets would say no because it would be horrible for PR and fans. NO will say no because AD is the younger and the cheaper and with more upside. I love Harden btw. Not a shot against him by any means.
It was leaked today that they wanted a player "with all star potential" and a first "at minimum", that basically says DMo and the NOP first.
Certainly. I am sure the Suns want to resign Dragic but only if they can trade away IT, whom has been noted to not have a market right now. This deadline for trading Dragic is much more real than the self imposed deadline, as has been pointed out. I'd be very surprised if Goran wasn't traded by the Thursday deadline. Just 49 and a half hours to go.
uh oh Lebron isn't tradeable becaue there is no offer in the world that the Cavs would consider to trade their lost son who came back to save them. That's what make him a no- no
Does it not worry anyone that Dragic has never implied that his interest is to win, and every move he's made in the last few years seems heavily based on money and his ability to control the ball?
If anything, Lawson is more of a pipe dream. He isn't an upcoming free agent this summer and his team doesn't have the pressure to make a decision on him so soon. The Dragic situation as reported by Woj suggests that PHX is willing to trade Dragic, but is asking for something like "DMo+NOP pick," (or whatever the equivalent is from another team), which teams have not agreed to. It's just kind of a staring contest right now and we'll see if either side blinks. I'm sure Daryl would try hard negotiating for giving up fewer/lesser assets for Dragic (as he did even for Harden or for Howard when Orlando explored trading him), but this isn't to say that either he or PHX wouldn't eventually settle on a deal.
