he Nuggets are not actively shopping Ty Lawson. Several teams have reportedly called Denver to check in on the availability of Lawson, but the Nuggets front office has sent them packing. Lawson is currently having a career-year with the Nuggets, averaging 10.1 assists per game (a career-high, and tied for first in the league), to go with 16.9 points on 44.7 percent shooting from the field (also a career-high). He’s established himself as an elite point guard in the league, and it seems very unlikely he will be moved before the trade deadline. Source: Denver Post Feb 17 - 2:59 PM
Morey isn't letting Dmo go! If Howard was healthy he'd be gone! But Houston needs Dmo too much right now imo
Are we sure Knight is even available? I can't seem to find anything about him being available online. Or is it just because he'll be a free agent this offseason?
I agree! I wouldn't be bummed at all on losing in Dragic but the asking price and availability on some of those guys might not work to Houstons advantage. IT I don't think is very high on Morey wish list
Harden and DWill aren't available on trade market before they were traded usually Morey's trades are the one you don't hear from the news that's why i don't think we are getting Dragic it will be someone we haven't hear the name yet and i don't think it will be a PG we actually need help in the front court more than we need another playmaker
If Morey ever wins an NBA Championship he'll be still looking to upgrade his team, it is his job. Can't wait till the end of the week when D-MO greets Dragic
Not surprising. With his contract situation, there is no reason for them not to keep him for the next wave of players & coaches they build around. Lawson was almost always going to be a long shot because of this. Him, Faried, and Nurkic can be a big part of a rebuild. No reason to trade those 3.
There haven't been any reports that BK is available. But he is a RFA, the Bucks fans do not think Bucks will pay big dollars for him. This is similar to the Harden/OKC situation.
Woj: Suns don't have a commitment from Dragic. "Determined and hopeful" don't mean a whole lot. Daryl Morey would have said (and in fact have said) the same thing about players that he explores trading.
Yes and in that case, every.single.player. in the league is available for the 'right price'. Rockets will consider trading James Harden for the right price. Nuggets would of course consider trading Ty Lawson for the right price.
Ya it was always a longshot in my eyes, but just the possibility of that back court duo had me drooling honestly....would have def preferred lawson over tragic because of the contract and his age, but tragic also fits this team perfectly so id also be ecstatic if we landed him... I just worry like most it could be a rental and theres no way i trade d-mo cuz of that risk..cant wait to see how it all unfolds, i just hope we somehow acquire a center also
Not to say that Suns will trade Dragic, but there's always a lot of posturing going on with these things. Remember the Omer Asik saga? Morey spread all kind of info out there about the December "deadline" and other stuff. Ended up keeping him for the season and trading him in the summer. The Suns' PR approach seems similar, but the difference is that Dragic is going to be a FA this summer while Omer was under contract for the next season, so HOU had more time to explore deals. The Suns may do everything in their power to appease Dragic and it may not be enough. There will be plenty of suitors for Goran and I don't think he can give any kind of assurance before actually seeing what's out there. Woj's latest piece makes it sound like Isaiah Thomas was Goran's main problem. I wonder if this is indeed the case. Even without Thomas, Goran may still receive an more attractive offer from a more attractive situation just given the multitude of suitors out there.
