He did mention someone about some on clutchfans liking it and some hating it. Rudy Gay comes to mind for that
It's so cold in the D is a rap about Detroit, but I'd be surprised to hear that SVG is hated already. That said, I find it harder to believe that this is a referece to Carlisle because Cuban really believes that he's the best coach in the NBA and the franchise mainstay Dirk presumably also loves him
He could be referring to Denver's Brian Shaw. Denver is cold. He was in the media recently for making a comment about his team losing intentionally. I think he's talking about Lance Stephenson. He's a girlfriend hitter.
Coast to Coast = NY to LA Homecoming Jordan Hill and Jeremy Lin both played for all three teams the Rockets, Knicks and Lakers???? Welcome home Jeremy Lin.
Rudy Gay signed a 3-year contract sometime around Nov 17, 2014; he's prohibited from being traded for a 6 month period after signing the extension. Omri Casspi cannot be reacquired by Houston until July 1, 2015. So, that leaves what, Carl Landry? Why? I'd be OK with that if Darren Collison were involved.
Adding Luke Ridnour to my signature under list of speculative low-budget targets. I believe Codman is referring to him and while I haven't heard anything on him recently I did hear his name mentioned by one of my sources back in December. His contract fits and Orlando has cap space. He could probably be acquired for Shved and a second rounder and he'd give us an additional $2.7 in non-guaranteed salary to use this summer for a potential trade. This is one of the deals that's down the line and ready to go if everything else falls through. And this is the logical alternative to guys like Calderon and Isaiah Thomas.
- The PHX/Dragic thing sounds like "either DMo or no deal". - Some thought about IT, but Harden and Howard aren't on board. - Beverley is on the trade block. - Drake is an obvious reference to Toronto. Valanciunas is rumored to be on the block, and could be considered a homecoming with DMo.
Drake is not a reference to Toronto at all. It is a reference to his song "Just hold on we're going home". Basically saying that it is nowhere near a lock that Dragic is coming back here.
The Drake/Toronto connection is pretty strong (so much so that the Raptors are often called the "Drakes") and Toronto has 3 ex Rockets on it (Lowry, Patterson, Hayes) and the DMo/Valanciunas connection.
Honestly the only thing I got from that Codman post was that Dwight is possibly ahead of schedule. That would be absolutely amazing if true.
