Gotta give credit to Angie, he does like to gamble. I don't think that D-Mo will be offered for Lawson.
No. That's too bad for the Rockets. Youneed to take a little price off. Taking on McGee's contract is worth a first rounder. Lawson on his own is worth the equivalent of about two first plus a prospect. So I guess value wise you can keep terry shved the ny 2nd and Houston 1st. Nop first plus Jones. But...Jones would be not good for them since they got Faried. Don't know if they would be interested in him.
Wow, it's really easy to be an insider. "Rockets may or may not trade for one or more of the players in the NBA." It's nothing.
My educated guesses, some have alluded to these already: First part is about Thomas and whether the Rockets think he's the right fit a PG. It's obviously not ideal because with his contract he would be around for a while and there are questions about whether he's a true PG that can fit next to Harden. Not sure what the rest of the paragraph is about. Second part is obviously about Dragic and how talks are serious, as ESPN reported. "Some of you would be thrilled, others not" is a reference to the DMo for Dragic poll, so looks like DMo is the price. And it seems DMo might be unhappy again, and there's internal debate about how such a trade would affect. Misplaced pieces may refer to Phoenix having three PG's since October, or Houston having a logjam at PF but no PG, or perhaps both. Seems the Rockets may have to take a hit at big man depth if they want Dragic. Third part about one of brothers seems to be about Kevin Martin. He's unhappy in MN, but is he worth the contract or the price MN is asking? Could be someone else too but this is my guess. Fourth part is fascinating - it's definitely about the Pistons (he specifically says that HE hates them - Codman hates the Pistons, not Rockets fans) since as another poster said, It;s so cold in D is a song about Detroit. Are they already annoyed with Van Gundy? Does Josh Smith's play have anything to do about it? Could Monroe be in play? Either way it seems that unhappiness there is good for the Rockets. Either there are trade discussions or Detroit is also in the market for a PG and by not wanting to win now, it could mean less competition for Dragic/other PGs at the trade deadline. The Last part is about Reggie Jackson - not serious talks, but the Thunder are listening.
Looking at his last 5 games though, my gosh... 23 mpg, 9.6 ppg, 4 rpg on 29% FG and 19% 3PT Spoiler 20 minutes, 4 points, 1-5 FG, 0-2 3PT, 2 REB 14 minutes, 3 points, 1-6 FG, 1-6 3PT, 1 REB 30 minutes, 12 points, 4-10 FG, 2-6 3PT, 6 REB 25 minutes, 7 points, 1-9 FG, 0-5 3PT, 7 REB 26 minutes, 22 points, 5-11 FG, 2-7 3PT, 4 REB If we have to take on a "bad contract" in the deal his contract could be it. He's due $11.5 million next year.
Hoping a deal involving us but we may not start dealing until Wednesday or Thursday. I think Jackson gets dealt today.
No. The bad contract is McGee. that's is absolutely certain. The Nuggets have tried for years to unload him. Only this year they tried to unload him to the Bucks in the preliminary Lawson discussions we had - we refused. I don't believe for a secod SVG is hated from his players. Sorry. Maybe Codman hates more than one team?
The teams that Rockets fans dislike the most are the Jazz, Mavs, Lakers, and more recently the Blazers.
