Are we talking about Stoudemire 2015. He is just not that intriguing any longer.

Amare is irrelevant at this point and time .
Should just retire and call it a career.

If healthy, he's probably an upgrade offensively over all our PF.

I'd still take current Josh Smith than healthy Amar'e. With Amar'e you lose the defense and some rebounding; I don't know how good he is with passing. And it's not like JSmoove is a bum offensively. Got some nice footwork for posting up and occasional short jumper + solid 3P spot-up shooter.

Money talks, and contract year motivates. How surprising Amare is once again one of the top offensive PF's this season with PER around 20?

Amare is not much of a passer. He always was a better rebounder than Josh, and is still putting up better numbers.

As for Smith's offense, his TS% with Houston is 0.493, which is awful. It's worse than Beverley and Ariza.

Say No to Stat. Focus on Dragic. Goran's talent as a STARTER helps us win the west, not A'mare's talent as a back-up F/C.

He should consider OKC and Phoenix. That's about it. It's not that I don't think he can still put the ball in the basket, I just don't like his game anymore in general. I think overall he's a liability.

Agreed- Spurs are a perfect fit for him with their playstyle and ability to rotate him for 20 minutes a game until the playoffs.

But we don't want that. Stay in the East, Amare. :)

The Mavs are cornering the market on former star level (at least salary wise) players from the last decade (Rondo, Charlie V, Jefferson, and possibly Amare and O'Neal). Cubes hasn't been doling out the big bucks on Shark Tank lately so he's got some extra to shell out to veterans.

Amar'e has a 0.4 edge in RB on Smith career wise (8.2 against 7.8), but Smith's TS% is much worse yes (0.596 vs 0.506). He makes that up on defense though...

Hopefully lure LMA away from Portland and Gasol away from the Grizzlies.

Would be nice to lose some competition in this conference.

I don't think Amare helps out anyone though, well the spurs because they would get the best out of him.

I hope he signs with Dallas, he'll do the least damage there
