Is there an archive where I can see the sign and trades transactions? I know picks come back. Depending on what you S+T and its value why not lottery?
I don't know all the S+T that have happened.
Rebuilding teams have usually a lot of capspace and a lot of rookies/ sophomores. DMO is already productive and very young with further room of improvement. A 14 lottery pick on the other hand chances are will never as a player be as productive as DMO or have the same trade value (as a player).

IF the pick had different protections and was converted say 2 years down the road AND it wasn't NO which chances are will make the PO in the next years, then things would be different. If it could be a top 10 pick in 2017 , giving more room to use it as a trade chip for a trade ..But THIS pick will converted this June.

considering that DMO can play two positions and Davis also two the answer is no.
Esp these two franchices are WIN NOW (after tanking for one year in LAL case).

DMo hasn't proven he's a very good center. Low rebounding numbers and pushed around.

So suggesting a team would prefer him as center is reaching

Rebounds can be provided easilly by the PF. What matters is his elite post game and good post defence. This is what teams look at first not reboundings.
You just put DMO next to a garbage man like Faried or TT to grab the rebounds.

Carl Herrera would take Patrick Patterson, and he would add 72 virgins as a trade kicker.

Sorry, it's super early on the west coast and I answered the question in your post instead of the thread title. And they're annoyingly opposing. Would have sided with the majority otherwise

Players put more balls into the basket with 3 pointers than your "elite postplay".

Dmo is very good defender with smaller players but he will get pushed around by big PFs or Cs.

Nice Logic. Why have a center anyway. Just put 5 shooters in.

Which do you value more? 10$ in your pocket or a 10% chance ticket to win 15$?

The market preferred TOR pick over Lowry last time, and the trade is with a good team.

Keep in mind DMO will likely get 'Parson'ed soon(probably not in the same extent, but...).

We sure all once loved Lin/Lowry/Parson/Bev while they were on minimum or rookie contracts.
