I think they may still do. Snell is awful except for what 2 games? When he was shooting hot. But I don't think they will make trades their FO is kinda slow and cheap. Plus they may wanna sabotage Thibs to get rid of him.(it sounds ridiculous i know) Ariza could fetch the Sac pick and their rookie . Doubt more.
Hell no. Cousin IT would only add the Rockets' 4th quarter woes. All IT does in the 4Q is jack up 3s and freeze out everyone else on the floor.
Only a team that badly needs scoring and puts him in the 6th man role or pairs im with a tall good defensive sg could use him. I think Plumplee is packaged with IT. but it certainly seems that the Suns are losing their options if they have focused on Morey.
Morey is in a position of some strength here. If Goran decides to leave the Suns, then the Suns can get stuck if they end up trading Thomas. The Rockets must continue to low ball the Suns, and try to force them to compromise for either Thomas or Goran.
It takes a special quality to play with Rudy Gay and Demarcus Cousins and be considered the team cancer
No idea why they're stuck if they lose Thomas and Goran, they still have Bledsoe as their pg, and backup pgs aren't that hard to find, we need something a lot more than Eric's backup.
Clearly nothing of value. As I mentioned in another thread, there wasn’t even a tiny bit of rumor Morey wanted IT, and he could’ve made an offer too as the Rockets had the cap room or the S&T pieces to Kings to complete the deal. The Suns may eventually trade Thomas instead of Dragic, but they're not getting the best offer from us.
are there any teams seriously wanting IT enough? Obviously we would want a dry IT market so that PHX resorts to shipping Gogi to fix their "imbalance"
Aside from Dragic or Isaiah Thomas should the Rockets try and get Jason Thompson from the Kings who wants out of Sacramento? He'd be a better big than Dorsey could be had for cheap.
PHX pushing IT is likely something they put out there in order to gain some leverage in the Dragic trade negotiation. PHX just want people to think that they are willing to keep Dragic and deal with him in the summer. By trading IT, they at least remove the perceived "PG logjam" issue-- which supposedly should make Dragic want to return and should free up some money to pay Dragic. But even with trading IT, Dragic's return is still an iffy proposition for them. Dragic could still leave for a better offer, in terms of $ or talent around him, and leave the Suns with nothing. My guess is that Morey is focused on getting Goran Dragic, but only express interest in IT in a "just in case" sense. PHX probably isn't going to get much offered for IT-- remember, no team offered more $ than PHX did for IT just a few months ago, and IT has basically been the player that we knew he was all along. So why would someone pay a big asset for the privilege of paying IT the same $ that they were not exactly excited about paying back then? PHX also probably isn't serious about trading IT and keeping Dragic. But if they really are willing to move IT for, say, a 2nd round pick, then Morey might as well beat that offer with a better 2nd round pick or something like that.
Bingo. Trying to create leverage in a situation where time is running out. We saw this with Rondo and Boston. We saw Morey try to avoid it with the arbitrary date to move Asik. There are no guarantees that Dragic is moved, and if he is moved, it is to Houston... But regardless, there is no down side for Phoenix to try and create leverage.
