Agreed. Without knowing much about his upbringing or personality in private, he seems like a nice kid who has been taught that he should be "tougher," and he thinks being or becoming a man, whatever he said, means the same thing.

He can be a tough player without the douchiness. My guess is he realizes a few years from now that he WAS taking a douche turn sometime around 2015, and is embarrassed about it.

yeah, but this IS not an either or situation. the nba is a brand and reporters help to promote that brand with stories which helps the nba (and other professional sports leagues) grow their brand and gain fans.

so the nba requiring interviews are mandated by the league they play for as part of the job description.

Now maybe twitter and other social media platforms are making reporters irrelevant and maybe the nba will have to look into this, but as of now, if you want tro play in the league you talk to the media. It is part of the fan experience.

Hes always been a fake nice guy... Only nice when it favora him.

I cant stand him being chris paul 2.0 on the court. Always whining. And that stunt he pulled with Dwight while he wasnt even playing? What was that about?

    #fake.

    You mean like adrian wojnarowski.

also peter vecsey was never a journalist, he was an opinion writer. You do realize that there is a difference?

maybe if you bought a newspaper every now and then papers would be able to support journalism as you expect them to.

Also, Peter Vescey came up with the nicknames: "air" jordan and larry legend. He was also resposible for Joe Barley Cares and The Jail Blazers.

Think about that for a minute: "air" jordan was named by one of the most castigated sports journalist in history.

wojnarowski doesn't typically make up stories out of thin air.

peter vecsey was initially the beatwriter for both the nets and the knicks. your incompetence as a poster here truly knows no bounds.

fool, i read more newspaper pages in a day than you likely read in a month, now get lost.

Yeah he was a beat writer, BUT what YOU think was his bad qualities didn't come from his beat writing days but when he was a opinion writer and he because PETER vecsey. We aren't even talking about his beat writing days so i am not sure why you bring that up?

Actually it started in 2013 against the Rockets when he claimed that Houston was "my city." The evolution is now complete.

    Lol, okay.

There are a lot of assumptions going on here. Young = usually people with a mature outlook don't have angst-ridden points-of-view.

the big corp-w****-ate machines and their minions just jockying for web hits and tv ratings..

barely an internet 20 yrs ago, when peter vecsey was the anomoly as opposed to what we have today with for instance, twitter whores in every corner trying to pass off as journalists

Oh yeah, and you burned me on Peter Vescey being a beat writer. I had NO CLUE about that. You win.

Is Durant going to stop doing puff pieces that promote his brand too? Didn't think so.

I used to like him, now he acts like a little whiny baby - what a b**** he has become.

And he is like 170 pounds soaking wet, he keeps it up someone is going to clean his clock some day.

I've alway admired his skills. Wish he wouldn't act hood rich. Wish he'd just be a pro, and rise above petty sniping. KD has problems nearly everyone would be delighted to suffer.

Agreed. I don't get the Thunder attitude lately. Seems contrived and ridiculous. You play basketball. For a living.
