I understand the people who feel lthat we should trade D-mo for Dragic but what they have to understand is that it's much harder to find a D-mo than it is to find a Dragic. We could go for Thomas or Lawson we don't necessarily have to go for Dragic. There aren't anymore D-mo's out there.

Morey gets lucky with trades but as we do not land in the high lotteries ever very good or star PF/C hybrids are rare.

Bad or below average teams can pick them like ripe apples

If Dmo is yielded in a Gogi trade, then Phoenix ain't getting that N.O. pick. And I would hope Daryl has a second trade to address the deficiency caused by the first.

Okay, D-Mo is somewhat of a rare specimen. But who cares about that?

The question is, which player will help you win more games?

Well said CH. Tons and tons of talent in the league, DMOs 11.6pts and 6 boards as a 7fter is a super human untradeable untouchable legend here in the garm. I hope and pray other GMs feel the same about DMO.

If dragic doesn't agree to re up with us before the trade, No.

If he does want to extend, Yes. We have T-jones.

Are you saying the PF tandem of Jones and J.Smith is a deficiency?

Yeah, I don't get the thinking that there would be a deficiency if D-Mo is traded. There are two starting-caliber PFs on the roster other than D-Mo.

It's not like the PG hole would be replaced by a hole at PF...

Dmo gives us an option at center. He's not heavy, but he's tall. I know teams have been owning us in the paint anyway in Dwight's absence, but losing Dmo would compound that.

So, yes, I think Morey would have to at least get a stopgap for center.

We're already pretty short. Dorsey's listed as 6'9" (and isn't) and wasn't wanted by roughly, oh, twenty-nine other teams. He's giving good effort but he's just a bruiser. I don't want him to get more minutes.

I totally agree with you at the center position, its a big hole presently.

Ah, that's where I disagree, Jones isn't a starting caliber PF and Smith is best as a bench player. If certain fans ran the Rockets instead of Morey and DMo was traded (only way it would happen, we'd have no one but Dorsey to play the 5 and no good option at the starting 4...in other words, it would be a disaster.....but we'd certainly get a rental of an aging top 10-15 PG, so that would be something.

I have learned early on that we should not get attached to any of our players, with the exception of superstars. But Lin was let go, so the superstar argument is out the window as well.

Bobby spitting truth bombs. Ridiculous to trade Dmo for Dragic which is why Morey has pulled him off trade talks.

Stop pretending like you have any idea what Morey and the front office is doing.

And yet D-Mo's stats this year in his best season ever are not even better than Jones' stats last year.

This is true but Jones is not the same player he was last year and we don't know if we'll ever get that player back.

My point is if he doesn't consider Jones a starting-caliber PF, then Motiejunas isn't either.

He should not have been started in that particular series in the playoffs. But against most teams without a player like LA he is a capable starter.

I disagree - I think TJ is a starting caliber PF in this league. However, he's certainly not a starter RIGHT NOW as he still seems to be working his way back from his knee injury. A TJ at 50%, Smith, & Dorsey for the big man rotation is just scary...for Houston. I'd rather not risk falling to the 8th seed.

All things considered (age, position, contract), the only player I part with DMo for is Lawson, and that's IF we can get a temporary replacement for DMo (Hickson?). Likely too rich for Morey & the Rockets (and I believe Clutch also said the Rockets weren't too high on Lawson anyway), but I think Lawson would be a perfect fit.

Assuming Lawson isn't attainable, give me Watson, Vasquez, Calathes at half the price of Dragic instead.
