When I read that article, 2 phrases stood out. And I paraphrase: 1. Rox & Lakers are among many teams trying to persuade Suns to part with Dragic & 2. Other suitors for Dragic are sure to emerge too. With all the competent pg's in the league, I just don't believe there'll be that much demand for Dragic, especially from playoff teams. I think Stein's using too many of Chris Brull$$h!tard's sauces.
That's mystifying. It's the difference between a guy who can break down a defense off the dribble, and a guy who needs someone else to scramble the defense for him.
Just as important, had they paid parsons they would not have gotten Ariza kostas (and maybe brewer smith). Now they have those guys and could add dragic with maybe losing kostas only (plus NO pick and maybe jones and/or capela.
They definitely need more than a 1st rounder for Gogi. I really think Morey's just hanging around till Shved's contract comes into play in a few days time.
A bit harsh don't you think? Pasons is averaging 17 pts, 5 rebounds, shoots 37% behind the arch, and plays solid defense over 36 min Dragic is averaging 17.5, 4 assists, 3.5 rebounds, shoots 35% behind the arch, and plays decent defense over 36 I realize stats aren't everything, but it's not night and day between the two.

Dragic can do something Parsons can not. You can talk stats all you want but they just have a different skill set in that regard. Break down a defense.
If there's any legitimacy to this at all, the Rox should trade 1st round picks left and right for Dragic. It takes most rookies a long time to get inclement-ed into the NBA game as it is. Anthony Davis is a rare anamoly from the norm and even then it took him a season. If the Rox are truly contending for the title this year it's a no brainer that Dragic is worth any and multiple 1st round picks available given the circumstances.
The Suns don't need BIGS, they need WINGS and we don't have any to trade, unless we are giving up Ariza or Brewer. DD
Parsons hasn't played anything that resembles defense since since his sophomore year in the NBA. I live in Dallas and have watched multiple Mavs games this season and Parsons defense is non existent. He has been particularly bad at the end of the Houston games when pared up against James Harden.
They're also conscious of not talking a step back as an organization. What happens if they trade IT AND lose Gogi in the summer? Or what happens when they have two PGs on the roster locked in at near max money?
