It really depends on one thing; will Dragic be willing to sign long term. I prefer Harden+Dragic over Harden+D-Mo any day of the week. What people need to decide however is, are we trying to win now or later? If we keep D-Mo and lose out on Dragic because of that, we are essentially giving up on winning now IMO.

This. If you're giving them DMo AND the 1st Rounder for what is, at the very least and worst case, a half season rental then you're nuts. If it's DMo and salary cap fillers I'm all in.

DM: Hi DMo, you've been traded.

DMo: How could you, Daryl? I bought my 1000L aquarium only a fortnight ago...

Dmorey will always be developing young talent. He just picks them up from obscure places... He probably has a secret farm league in the mountains training babies how to defend and shoot 3's

Clutch, you're scaring me a little. Do you know something?

I assume trading DMo for Dragic means we get to keep the NOP 1st, or more likely, trade it for another player.

I'm against it, but I do think people should recognize that DMo is not a great fit with Howard. He's a good player that provides a unique skillset, but it is not a skillset that fits well with Harden or Howard.

I'm of the belief that if we get Dragic, we need to get a legit stretch 4 to finally round out this roster. So if you've got Howard, Smith, DMo, and Stretch 4.......that's a pretty crowded front court. I'd probably prefer to see something like:

    Stretch 4 / Smith
Howard / Smith / Backup C that gets 10-15 minutes per

Still.......giving up DMo would be tough. If we traded DMo and the NOP 1st (plus a few other small things) I'd expect a return of...

    Goran Dragic
    Ryan Anderson
    Quality backup center

It depends on how the Rockets view DMo and his future. If we insist on sticking with a declining Dwight Howard who will continue to get most of the minutes and post touches, what's the point of keeping DMo, and why would even he want to stay here?

The only advantage of giving up DMo for Dragic is you would probably get to keep the Pelicans pick, which Morey could potentially use to get a player at equal or greater value than DMo.

Who is more replaceable . . . DMO or GORAN?

I respect Morey enough to know he can find a DMo easier than aGORAN

Were we developing young talent when we traded our prospects for Ron Artest, or when we drafted Rudy Gay and traded him for Shane Battier the last time we were a serious contender?

Josh Smith is very quickly becoming the best bigman on our roster. DMO WILL want a big payday and with our search for a new pg. We all love Dmo but can he be as effective with Dwight on the floor because watching the two of them together, it doesn't feel like they fit together. I feel like it will come down to a Dmo or Dwight option and after watching the Clippers game I am going to say Dwight still. DMO still hasn't shown he can bang with the rest of the bigmen. He is getting pushed around like a rag doll.

You people underrate Dragic and overrate DMo. You people are homers.

People who would not trade DMo for Dragic deserve neither DMo nor Dragic.

Sure in a vacuum...but we have other things to consider like salaries, injuries, and need.

It's definitely easier to find similar players with Dragics skill set than DMos. Id rather see if we could use Canaan or Johnson as a filler and if we do trade DMo, we'd need a replacement in that trade.

the way this team has been built, there's no bigger need than a starting upper tier pg.

Because we don't have a dragic skill set on our team. That doesn't mean there aren't many other players in the league with his skill set. Lawson, Collison, Jennings Pre-Injury all had similar stats and skill sets. And all are probably easier to trade for and younger.

I would trade D-Mo for Dragic in a vacuum, in a shoe, in bathroom, in Peru, in a box, in some socks, with a scotch on the rocks.
