"People of color," as the term is used by the people who originated it, are apparently everybody but European "whites". It is a fabricated divide contrived by a certain group of especially proactive racists in our society that they use to single out European "white" people in order to try to play off everyone else off against them. It is a manipulative and hostile concept without biological basis that only exists to help some people forward their own racist agendas.

In fact, there is really only one basic skin color, as virtually all people have brown skin of various different shades, ranging from very light to very dark.

And nobody is truly without color.

Anyone who perpetuates the radically wrong and biologically baseless ideology that that humans are dividable into different races based on their skin color is in fact a racist. Unfortunately, what that means is that over 95% of our country is at least inadvertently racist.

Of course it is the racists that actively promote divisions and animosity between people based on the differences in their skin pigmentation that are the most egregious part of the problem. However, the problem of racism is not going to go away until people accept that this ideology is baseless and wrong and reject it as a wrong way of thinking.

So, yes there are racists, and unfortunately lots of them.

However, there is only one race, the human race, and the idea that there are different races is based on a vile and false ideology that is commonly referred to as racism, which we all should strive to banish from our hearts and minds forever.

Race is a load of pseudoscientific nonsense.

Culture is not. Nor are nations. At the end of the day, I have nothing in common with some Mexican coyote. That isn't because I'm a different "race" from him, but because I have a different culture and values compared to him.

The idea that there is one, common humanity is a load of progressive wish-fulfillment.

Race is a social concept and color has quite a bit to do with that. I see nothing wrong with that social concept. You don't have to be race-blind to not be racist.

During the 1800's white Europeans referred to Irish, Italians, and I believe Jews as well as ni**gers. And people in the middle east were/are referred to as sand ni**ers. In modern times racism is a white concept.

You must not be aware of how racist Arabs are towards non-Arabs?

I think people of all "races" are racist towards people of other races. It's not exclusive to whites.

Absolutely not. Just look at Asian and take their sub-group and you'll find plenty of racism between them. Japanese and Chinese, Vietnamese and Cambodian as a few examples. Singapore Chinese majority is very racists against the Indian and Malay minority but because of their country success and safety, most just ignore or accept it.

As long as there continue to be "LULACs" and "NAACPs" and "KKKs" and race-motivated groups... this "color" will be apparent to everyone.

I would suggest no faces or not showing skin color of defendants and accused on trials... to the jury... and the name being only an ID like "JG120983" instead of "Jerome Green" or "Juan Garza"... so there's no racist bias.

I agree with you. EVERYONE is racist to a degree, whether it's 1%, or 85%, you're racist no matter what race you are. It's a "choice" to not like or like someone because of their skin color... hair color... etc., etc. AND, If it's a preference and it's an opinion, it's cool to be "racist", as long as you don't impose that preference when it comes to picking or choosing something over the other. There's no law against racism but there's a law against favoritism and prejudice.

At the video store where I worked on 17th and Shepherd a long time ago, we had an entire series of black pr0n... it was named just like you posted.

I think we have biologically evolved to be racist. We can all agree that its not correct, but whether we care to admit it or not it takes an extra attention or perhaps training for many of us to shed this bias. And its much easier to do this when one grows up in situations where people are treated more or less equally regardless of (perceived) race.

Not necessarily... How many minority hate groups are in this country that go around lynching white people.

So you are saying only once the level of lynching is reached, it's racism?

^ excellent question for which I will await his answer
The fact that one group or two does the incorrect thing based on racist thoughts doesn't mean that there are racists of every skin color.

MOST don't take RACISM into their actions.

IMO, acting as if there aren't differences between people's cultures, belief systems, and communities that can be often directly attributed to the color of their skin is a form of racism. What good is done by marginalizing who people are and pretending that differences don't exist? Why not recognize it?

Recognizing the differences between people of different races and showing genuine interest in understanding while not judging is the key. Simply ignoring differences is not the same as finding commonality.

How many groups of any kind are that go around lynching anyone? Certainly none that I have seen during my lifetime.

But we have seen the race based groups protesting with a view towards wanting to hurt people over the last few years. We sure have.

And those groups were without exception black. We saw it in connection with the George Zimmerman trial and more recently with Darren Wilson investigation.

Justice was carried out in both of those instances, albeit not according to the preferences of the race-motivated mobs that were protesting those events. And even though the justice process has concluded, as everyone knows, those two people are at risk of harm or death to this very day.

Some of the most racist comments you'll here in the US are from blacks. They get a complete pass, however.

Thank goodness the poor defenseless whites have mojo man to defend them from all the oppression, and racism they face.

"People of Color" in the United States are different but they do share one characteristic the whites in this nation have a history of discriminating and mistreating all of them.

Nobody should be racist no matter what color their skin is. But only race occupies the power positions in a meaningful way to use to cause real harm to other races.

What are "blacks"? I thought you were saying that dividing people based on race is not useful. If you want to complain about privileges you think some particular racial group is getting from our society, then the whole point of this thread is lost.
