No bulking for D-Mo. It's 2015. There are only a handful of players stronger than him, and they are all slower than him.

You could be right. But, I've paid a bit more attention to his rebounding recently and I've noticed it's unusually very common for D-Mo to box out his man perfectly in such a way that his teammates get easy and open rebounds frequently.

Also, he sets a lot of picks on the perimeter and takes some 3's - almost all players who do that take a hit in the rebounding department. Despite that, he's above average per 36.

Honestly I'm not sure the minor uptick in rebounding is worth what you'd lose in quickness in the post. Especially when we have Dwight Howard and Dorsey as elite rebounders and T Jones as an above average rebounder.

That's a good point. Perhaps his role this year has been to be a compliment to Dwight, with Dwight's role as the dominant rebounder. It just seems like an issue because he's the tallest guy on our squad and we're missing Dwight.

The Suns are highly unlikely to pay a 30 year old max money for 4-5 years. If they deal him it will be because: assets > playoff run

What DMo needs to add most is flexibility in his legs and a wider base so he can get down and lower his center of gravity. This would do 3 basic things for his game:

    1. Help him to box out and gobble down boards.

    2. Help his jump shot gain arc, which would make him more accurate from distance.

    3. Keep him on his feet more often instead of flat on his butt or back after being knocked over and leaving us a man short in transition defense or offense.

I'm in the mood for Love. Is there any way we could trade for him?

Would Cleveland give us Love and Haywood for Dwight?

Don't forget that Utah haven't been to the playoffs since then.

If forced into rebuilding, surely accumulation of assets that will help in the future is very important?

Personally I am someone who would give up EITHER of DMo or TJo for Dragic as long as it means keeping the Pellies pick (OR give Pellies pick but neither of those 2). PHX might see that as a more positive alternative since they are already steps into their rebuild, and might not want to add another late lotto draft pick to the mix.

Nope . Cavs are winning now and playing like we thought they were . So I doubt it .

Agreed... If the equation holds according to their GM and their values...

I am not one who thinks that a playoff run, even ending in a first round loss, is meaningless. There is value in team progress.

But I don't think they're making the playoffs

I don't think he can add flexibility in his legs, but widening of his base is still possible.

Dropping the ball? He can't even trade players to match the salaries until next week, at the very least give him a chance until when he is legally allowed to make a bigger trade.

Hearing Golden State may enter the Dragic sweepstakes. Offer would be centered around David Lee.
