Which one of the teams with a top 10 pick is Lebron going to this summer? didn't think so.

He was an All-NBA Third Team once. We're not trading for another James Harden here. We could very well nab a good, productive player with the NOP pick. Why would we give that up AND one of our best young guys in TJones? It makes no sense.

The opening post said the Suns want a 1st for Dragic. Fine, I'm cool with that -- why are you trying to throw in TJones into that deal? That's simply overpaying.

I agree about Capella's value (could be good in 2-3 years but who knows) -- similar to Nick Johnson (will never be that good). I think Canaan has more value but I reaaallly like him (IMO should be playing over Terry and even possible over Beverley). Papa has some value -- I would be fine with throwing him in.

But lets stop the Terrence Jones madness. TJ and Dmo should be locked up to be our PFs for the future. Not that I believe either is a star player, but both are well above average and really bolster our rotation.

K Pap has been coming off the bench earlier/ playing at all so look for him to possibly be in the deal. No way T Jones gets traded in this deal, as others mentioned here - people have forgotten how valuable he is.

I just don't see why the Suns would be motivated to trade Dragic now???

Only if he'll resign or extend with us. No rentals.

I like Dragic and there is no doubt he would make the team better, but it seems to me the teams the Rockets struggle against are the teams with strong post play, especially one's who have 4's that have a good mid-range game like Aldridge, Randolph, and Griffin. Even with the addition of Dragic I think the Rockets would struggle against the Clips, Griz, and Blazers.

If they fear losing him for nothing this summer and don't believe they can make the playoffs were they to keep him the rest of the season, they might decide to move him. It's not like getting the NOP pick from the Rockets would be such a bad thing. It'll be the 13th or 14th pick in the draft(barring the Pelicans somehow winding in the top 3).

    Wiggins for Love. Bad trade.

Love is in a different world over there.

    Cleveland sure could use DMo.

Codman kept referencing "One Love" and coming home.

    I wonder.

its going to take more than a 1st round to get dragic. there's a time where you worry less about the future and you have to take the chance on a small window to get a team good enough to win a title, especially when your players are reaching their prime or are in their last days in it.

We should always try and keep making our team better. Dragic would do that for sure. The 10 - 14 pick of this years draft is not very helpful to us... even half a season of Dragic is more valuable than us selecting in the late lottery.... we are all in now.

If we include K-Pap in a trade for Dragic he's going to break out with the increased playing time and people are going to b**** about letting another great player go.

That said, we should definitely do the trade and include K-Pap or Jones if necessary, as long as we have some kind of assurances that Dragic wants to re-sign with us. Our window is now. We don't have time to wait.

The only way Love is on the block is with LeBron's blessing and likely part of a larger deal where Cleveland is also sending out Haywood's expiring contract plus assets we would send of Love to get another star.

If a trade for Love does materialize, I wouldn't mind if Matthew Dellavedova came with him. Outside of Bosh, I'm not sure what else the Cavs can use Haywood's expiring deal to acquire? The Thunder are in the same boat with Perkins. They have more value to their teams in trades as neither would open up capspace by letting them expire.

Very true. But if I were them I'd still be looking for a playoffs spot. Why give up on the season? You're right, Goran is probably gone after this season. Might as well get an asset for it.

Wouldn't the Rockets have bird rights on Dragic?

I agree. I hope I'm wrong. But my gut feeling is that the Suns are going to tell us that they want D-Mo or they won't make a deal with us. Phoenix needs size in the frontcourt and they need low post scoring, two things that D-Mo does very well.

People on here keep saying the NOP pick and TJones. I have read a couple of responses that say that Jones is redundant now that we have Smith. The problem is that Jones would also be redundant on the Suns with Markieff and Marcus Morris.

The Rockts did this when they traded Rafer. People here didn't understand why.

If Dragic is at point it doesn't matter if the power forwards are redundant. All they gotta do is catch and dunk most of the time.
