    We have some assets but they aren't good enough to get a difference maker, I think a small move may be made, but it may not be useful for us.

    The all-star break is long for a reason. There are teams and players that are imploding. Morey will try to pounce on the teams who are damn worried about their future. Some guys are ready to come home to their friends and foundation. What the Rockets have, which many teams do not, are multiple players with great, developed friendships throughout the league. The vets and McHale (though, I'm not a fan of his x's and O's) treat the younger guys like sons. Guys do enjoy playing for him, and the diversity of our team makes coming home more appealing for some. When you hit rock bottom, when you feel like the black sheep, when you need your brothers (Josh/Dwight), when your coach or ownership doesn't let you shine or will your way through the game, when the season starts to drag on because your talent has been forgotten, you're open to coming home. Hell, Corey feels at home even though he burned us for 50-some points. And, when you have a vet like Texas' own Jason Jet Terry playing significant minutes, other vets want to find a new home. Every GM's phone is ringing (I'd assume), but it seems like Morey is working for chemistry this time around. There are a couple of diamonds in the rough...

    I hope we get MCW and Kanter.

    the way I see it and it might work is:

    Hou In: MCW & Kanter
    Hou Out: Capella, Dorsey, Cannan, Ariza, Jones, future 1st rounder

    Utah In: Capella, Dorsey, Cannan, Richardson, and maybe rockets future 1st rounder
    Utah out: Kanther

    76ers In: Ariza , Jones
    76ers out: MCW

    Utah receiving first rounder from rockets or 76ers. which ever way. I see this line up working well including our bench with some scorers.

    MCW / Beverley / Alex
    Harden / Jet / Nick
    Papa / Brewer
    DMoe / Smith /
    Howard / Kanther

    hes horrible, his best bet was to stay in indiana. now hes on his own and exposed. he was never that good to begin with but for some reason people believed so.

    The part about liking to play for McHale and coming home seems like a direct reference to Dragic. No idea about the veteran pickup though - sounds like someone from Texas with the emphasis on TEXAS' OWN JASON TERRY.

    I would like to see something built like this

    Houston Out: Papa+Shved+Capella+NOP 1st
    Houston In: Dragic + Plumlee
    Why? Addresses our needs for an elite PG who can create and another serviceable big man
    Utah Out: Kanter
    Utah In: Capella + Shved
    Why? Kanter wants out, and Capella is a promising young big who has performed well in the D League. With Burks out and Burke underperforming, Shved could be a stop gap guard while Exum develops.
    Phoenix Out: Dragic + Plumlee
    Phoenix In: Papa+Kanter+NOP1st
    Why? They get an upgrade at center over Plumlee, a great first rounder, and another wing that they need right now.

    The under appreciated bit sounds like Kevin Love or Dragic. The diamond in the rough portion kind of takes away from that. Seems like he may be alluding to a big name but also the more realistic possibility of a shoulder shrugging move.

    No way Jimmy Butler! That's the ultimate move but I can't see Morey pulling off that Jedi Mind Trick, Gerald Green may make sense or even stealing Jermaine O'Neal from Dallas or Okafor as a hometown guy.

    Can't see a buy out happening but who knows? We don't have the salary to match without gutting the team and you do not gut for him that's the opposite of a chemistry move.

    "Black sheep" has D Will written all over it. A vet, once a star, now at rock bottom, needs his brothers (Dwight etc.), and wants to come home to Texas.

    Sounds like Dragic and Emeka Okafor. Okafor is from here and was selected after Dwight. Not sure if they are close, though.
