Well, even with Dwight, we couldn't really compete with Jordan and Griffin. Tonight, yikesss, we can't even compete with Jordan alone. Outrebounded severely on a cold-shooting night with tired legs, at least they hung with the Clips until end of 3rd.

Geez, calm down people. It was their 3rd game in 4 nights and Harden had to log 43 minutes in Phoenix and carry the team to a victory. They were all exhausted. It was obvious.

Besides, look at the bright side. 2 losses in their last 3 games against teams headed to the postseason will clearly dispel any notion that Morey had(not that he did) that the Rockets as currently constructed even with a healthy Dwight have enough to win a title. He knows he has to make a move before the deadline for another playmaker.

The only thing about tonight's loss that really bugs me is it dropped us to 4th place behind Portland. Why is that, BTW? Is the division record the 2nd tiebreaker?

everyone knows that ... that's why we're waiting for what magic Morey can conjure this trade deadline.

Spurs is a different team in playoffs. McHale will get owned by Pop.

I would actually prefer the MAVS and their awful
    Defense for the first round

Division LEADER trumps a non division leader.

As vocal as some posters are about replacing Dwight with Dmo at C. The Rockets have no inside presence without Dwight. When the opposition has a guy like Jordan that takes away drives to the basket too. Harden is the only guy who can create his own shot and in these kind of games the make up of this roster is exposed.

As it's known on this board, the Rockets are desperate for a Dragic or Schroeder to start at PG to help relieve pressure off Harden on both ends of the floor. They might need a C now as well.

You realize Harden has sucked against the Clippers even dating back to his OKC days right?

For some reason, I thought a division leader could still fall as low as 4th. Guess not. Ironically this would be a good thing for the Rockets if the playoffs started today. Instead of being the 3rd seed and facing the Clippers, they're 4th and would face Dallas.

This game defined exactly where the Houston Rockets are currently and truly at as a franchise. I'm bracing myself right now for a first round playoff exit. I'm not expecting any real success out of Houston sports for a long while. After Barkley dogged the team and organization these come out and play like it's true.

Is DMo coming down to the earth? His lack of rebounding is really hurting the team.

-) Tie breaker not needed (better overall winning percentage)
    (1) Division leader wins tie from team not leading a division
    (2) Head-to-head won-lost percentage
    (3) Conference won-lost percentage
    (4) W-L Percentage vs. Playoff teams, own conference
    (5) W-L Percentage vs. Playoff teams, other conference
    (6) Net Points, all games
    x-Clinched Playoff Berth | o-Eliminated from Playoffs contention | e-Clinched Eastern Conference | w-Clinched Western Conference
    nw-Clinched Northwest Division | p-Clinched Pacific Conference | sw-Clinched Southwest Division | a-Clinched Atlantic Division
    c-Clinched Central Conference | se-Clinched Southeast Conference
    *-Games remaining vs.Teams Over/Under .500

And yes...it would be a blessing if it were today!!

i think sitting top 4 at the All Star break in a hard conference at the All Star break is a damn good job considering many predicted we might not even make the Playoffs because we lost Lin, Asik and Parsons

i think some fans are under selling how good this team has been to prove so many people wrong so far

We have so many negative fans here

I think people are just concerned with the Mavs, Spurs, Blazers, and Clippers all breathing down our necks in the standings. While the next week and a half off will be great for the players, it'll be nerve-racking for us fans who wanna move onto the next game already.

The only problem of having the 3 seed is playing either the Thunder or Warriors in the 2nd round.

Rather be in that other bracket, but yes. Avoid the Clippers at all costs.

why worry about them, we actually play better on the road than at home, also we still have a little break on the chasing pack by 2 in the loss column. 5 of our first 6 games are at home after the All Star break, so it is a chance to really get a jump on the chasing pack
