Getting your news from The Daily Show is getting the most honest take on the news out there. It's very depressing to hear this. At least both my kids, now adults, grew up watching Daily and are better for it. They will be just as depressed as I am.
I know. just funnin. It'll be interesting to see what he gets into. He just directed a movie and he's got some more irons in the fire. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets into directing.
It is satire of the news shows. Commentary on other shows, not a news show itself. If you are interested enough in news to watch a show ABOUT news shows, you are more likely to be informed. At the end of the day the comedy was too poor or not my style to watch this show. Funny faces as jokes gets old incredibly fast.
A funny thing about running for President, your own ethical standards don't apply to the job. If elected you have an imperative obligation to commit acts in defense of the nation that you personally wouldn't condone. The first fact you have to accept is that you are going to make decisions that kill people, bomb them, assassinate them, lose them as hostages, abandon them to chaos. It's not really a job for the empathetic. One reason I'll be OK voting for Ms. Clinton, she can kill as required.
