Wow. I didn't know Chuck said that about the Harden deal at the time. Granted, he wasn't the only one, but it just goes to show he's not very good at making predictions. Which means he might wanna stop gambling so much.

My favorite moment of last night was when Chuck said "just because you have good defensive stats doesn't mean you're a good defensive team", a claim that I am still having trouble understanding.

That was Chuck just realizing he'd been owned by EJ and trying to talk his way out of it.

 

Charles had his funny moments years ago, but his whole 'village idiot' thing is so tiresome now. He needs to quit NBA broadcasting and move on to something else, maybe politics or something.

 

Maybe Morey can give him a stats 101 tutorial so as to better inform his future predictions.

Remember when that Spurs fan confronted him recently at a hotel bar about Barkley's comments on the large women of SA? And his reply was basically, "It's just a TV show. It's just entertainment. It's not serious." Maybe that's what he's doing here too?

Eh. Morey looks like a guy who couldn't get dates in high school. What the hell does he know?

 

I've liked Barkley for his entertainment value.

The main problem is that people actually believe what he says.

One problem he has is that his predictions are always counter the Rockets.

This dates back to very long ago to back when he thought Yao would be a bust.

Every move we make is a bad one to him. We could sign Durant and he'd find some way to make it into a negative I'm sure.

 

It's time to stop caring what Barkely thinks or says.

 

What an ass clown! He truly goes out of his way to disparage the Rockets then back-peddles when they prove him wrong, which is every time.

 

That's one of those statements that sound absolutely stupid on the surface but there's deeper meaning but at the same time the statement just wasn't expressed completely correct. Defensive stats and numbers in general can be deceiving but the rockets defense is far from the worst in the league.
