Is it about how Karl basically ended his handler's coaching career?

So much fallout from that dumb firing of Malone. I see the owner/s out of the NBA in a few more years

Sacramento should hire Karl and keep Boogie. He has three years left on the deal, winning will fix all of his fears, if Vivek allows him to be moved then he truly is as crazy as we believe him to be.

I like how Cousins agency is not listed in real gm ..anyone knows the name of the agency so possible connections with other clients and what the most possible destinations could be?
I don't find the Lakers offer good enough at all.

Lakers better be willing to give more than that, the Cavs did for Love, and Boogie is on the same level, if not better, than Love.

This doesn't have to do with winning. It's an agents play. Agents control a lot of what happens in a FO. Especially one as dysfunctional as the Kings. Especially agents of big stars like Cousins.

Are the Lakers still harboring the dream of a quick turnaround so that they can win some games before Kobe's career dies?

I think it's safe to say that most any team will line-up to trade for Cousins and offer whatever it takes to make a deal happen. If Love goes for two number one picks plus other assets on a potential expiring contract, Cousins locked in long-term should fetch more than a top 5 pick and Julius Randle. Plus Karl isn't signing up to coach the Kings for any teams' lottery castoffs only for his best player. Karl's not in rebuild mode as a coach anymore.

At the end of the day, the owner will step in, Karl will be coach, and Cousins will likely have new agents before next season begins. Boogie wants to win and no other coach is walking through that door that can make that happen better than Karl.

I guarantee all of you, with Fegan at the helm, Cuban will be the first one to call about a disgruntled Demarcus.

Fegan will do everything he can to try and get Cousins to Dallas.

Why would Gay's agents refuse to agree opposing Karl?
Is it because they want Cousins out so Gay can be the main star of the team?
Is it because they like that Gay has finally found a good situation in Kings and don't want to mess with the good relationship with the FO?
Is it because of personal antagonism with past or future clients?

I'm brainstorming here lol but if its reason 1 then wow. Even more dysfunction than I thought.

No coincidence here. The guy is refusing to play and is demanding a full buyout.
Imagine if Cousins to get some leverage (because with his contract he doesn't have atm) pulls a Larry Sanders as well. Refuse to play for personal reasons. Get me traded or I will stay out because I "have personal problems that make it impossible for me to participate in team activities".
Price in the trade market greatly reduced - labeled even more of a head case.
Lakers (his agent preffered destination from the start) get him for a single first round pick.

Maybe I should wear a tin foil hat but if this crap happens !!

    So can all agents.
Ask Cuban and the Mavs how their relationship with Bill Duffy(Steve Nash's agent) is.

Guess you checked and saw it's Fegan. Agency is Relativity.

It makes no sense that Cousin's agent would be against the Karl hiring based on past dealings with Karl as it pertains to his players(The only major player of his that played for Karl during his Nuggets coaching days seems to be Wilson Chandler. Corey Brewer played and past on through so maybe that's the grudge but I think the grudge would be with the GM moreso than the coach).
Maybe Fegan is against Karl based on his feelings as to how Karl would get along with Boogie but by now I figure Boogie has pull with the front office and the front office also don't want to lose Boogie so I'd think they'd just hire Karl and if Boogie doesn't like him then they fire him later if the team is still playing badly.

The Kings would be r****ded to take Karl over Cousins.

Cousins is the best center in the league. He's a 24 year old super star, you don't just give him away.

Would love to see Demarcus pouting when Kobe freezes him out and tells him to play defense and rebound.
