Math can't beat talent. Its pretty simple. People who have talent in what they do, are above anyone else within that field. Brain, soul, feeling, fire...people like that can foresee an opponents move...talents are on another level

Poor decision on Morey's part, IMO. He can tweet all he likes. Until his team wins a few rounds in the playoffs, its not going to make any difference to Charles Barkley.
Moreover, math is used order maximize that amount of talent. Charles is a loser. He is shtick is old.
Analytics does not discredit talent. It's pretty useful in finding a roleplayers that will best fit the team and its superstars.
I don't think Charles is dumb. I usually like a lot of what he says. But on this particular issue, he's completely ignorant. He knows absolutely nothing about analytics yet he has such a strong opinion on it. He's just ignorant about the topic. It seems to me he's bitter because these math whiz guys are getting GM jobs when Charles has said many times over the years that he wants to be a GM. He's bitter that he can't get a GM job as a former player and these brainiacs who never played the sport are getting the jobs. So while he may not have necessarily liked analytics in basketball before, now it's turned to downright bitterness and irrational hatred.
Well, it's especially stupid because he's been very publicly busted paying a prostitute for a BJ... you know, because he really pulls women, unlike a nerd. I support Morey calling it like it is. TNT is incredibly biased against the Rockets.
Anyone saying something akin to talent > analytics (like Barkley) is showing their ignorance. Not their stupidity, because they may be intelligent otherwise, but they are ignorant when it comes to analytics if they can say a statement like that. What is the ultimate "analytic" mantra that Morey harps on? You need three elite players to win a title. His analytics are not in opposition to talent, they actually argue that talent is MORE important than many old school people say. Morey's philosophy isn't to find scrub players and have them run a gimmick offense. He wants to find the best players and then have them do what they are most effective at. The difference between Morey and other GMs is that he doesn't lock himself into a roster of mediocre guys who try hard. He keeps churning while he works to get three great players.
So many idiots in here that sound just like the TNT crew. Morey is a analytic guys yes but he is also a talent guy. He has made that very clear on many occasions that talent is the key. Some morons including TNT can't seem to realize you can be both. Barkley has been killing the Rockets publicly (in a very large forum I might add) for years. It's time someone poked that fat lard ass and get him riled up. He'll do the rest of the damage on his own that dumbass. Good job Morey!!!
As you all can see we aren't the only ones personally attacking one another. Lol I am glad Morey stood up for his team however. That TNT cast , especially Barkley have been attacking us for a long time. They only give us a tad bit of coverage even when we are on TNT. You would be think since Kenny has won Chips here, he would have our backs. But he has fallen into that hate on the Rock category. Pure comedy Now Morey and the Rockets have to prove them wrong by at least winning 2 chips.
