I sort of doubt he is even if they do. If I'm in the front office and we drop to 9 or 10 by the deadline -- that just isn't bad enough for me to make such a major change. Not when the west is so tight that you could easily be back to 8 within a week.

I want to be optimistic about getting Dragic. But I don't see them trading him, and definitely not trading him back to the Rockets.

Sigh... but I can still hope.

I agree with this, my feeling too. Suns are just not 'bad enough' right now to throw in the chips. I just dont see Dragic moved.

Are the Suns falling apart at the perfect time?

Pelicans are 27-24 with these games to go before the trade deadline:
    Utah
    Indiana

    OKC are 26-25:
    @ Denver
    Memphis
    Dallas

if rockets can beat up the Suns on their home floor heading into the All Star Break, and the Pellies and OKC win out, maybe they reconsider how losing Dragic for nothing AND missing the playoffs is not an ideal and now highly plausible scenario.

If they could pick up a serious upgrade at another position, I feel like they'd have to consider trading him, since he's probably going to walk anyway. Taj Gibson would be big for them.

Suns are so effin unlucky. So many bounces for the opponent.

I hope we beat the Suns obviously, but I can't see them dealing Dragic right now with a playoff spot within reach thanks to the Griffin injury and the Clippers' recent struggles. Even if OKC wins up in the Top 8, LA could fall behind Phoenix in the weeks to come.

And I also don't buy that Dragic will walk at season's end. If the Suns make the postseason and offer him as much or more than anyone else, why wouldn't he stay? He's played most of his career there, had his best seasons with that franchise, and it's a young, up-and-coming team in a warm climate. As the saying goes, why mess with a good thing?

They are allready messing with a good thing this season. That's why I see Dragic walking away if they intend do keep the 3-headed Hydra.

The only way he is staying a Sun with Bledsoe and Thomas taking heavy PG minutes is a big free agent acquisition in the summer which would make Suns a contender; I'm sure Dragic would gladly take sacrifices he is taking now if this means the team wins. As they are now constructed, they are going nowhere even with him playing very efficiently at SG and SF spot.

That said, I don't see any big free agent signing with them this summer.

I glanced at Free agency of 2015 and I can hardly find anyone who would make Phoenix an instant Top4 team in the West. Their biggest need is SF and PF. With the emergence of Kieff at PF and Len at C, the biggest need is a great SF since Tucker is pretty limited and TJ Warren still a project. However they would happily take a great PF since Kieff's defense and rebounding against bigger PFs like Aldridge, Griffin and Zbo leaves a lot to be desired. So:

LBJ: Even if somehow he doesn't stay in Cleveland, Phoenix is probably not first...not second...etc. option for him.

    K. Love, LMA, Kawhi, : Same as above.

    M. Gasol: If he doesn't stay in Memphis, I doubt PHX would chase him since Len is shaping up to be exactly what they need at C. If only he would foul a bit less...

DeAndre Jordan, Brook Lopez, Al Jefferson: Same as above for Gasol.

Greg Monroe: Probably resigns with Detroit and he is not a great fit with PHX anyway. If they somehow bring him in , I don't think this addition can automatically make PHX a Top4 West team.

Millsap: Now this is an intriguing possibility, but he probably takes a new contract from Atlanta after such a season.

I don't see any other players capably of making an impact on Suns (Deng, D. West, J. Green, Thaddeus Young...)

Ugh, if only WSH & CHI had taken care of business. 4-7 vs 2-9.

A few games ago the commentators spoke about Dragic telling them the Suns players argue too much I think.

Tonight Webber said he was frustrated at not running the point this season.

Gogi can't think this is a great situation if he really cares about winning.

I'm convinced the Suns will trade Dragic. They now have 10 days to think about losing 5/6 heading into the ASB. They have the same number of losses as OKC. It would be stupid if they didn't get something for him because it's very obvious he will bolt in the summer.

3-7 in their last 10 and facing the inevitability of either OKC or New Orleans passing them in the standings.

    Laugh away.
