Driving my car before getting fuel it was fine. After I got gas after about 2 miles when I got on the freeway any time my car would get close to shifting gears the car would start to choke and sputter and the check engine light came on. Looking online and putting those symptoms in I came to that conclusion. It's been towed and I've asked for a fuel sample of the gas, so we'll know for sure.
No but I used a Citgo card and have already started the process of filing with my insurance and calling Star Fuel to complain.
You sure that you don't just have sugar in your tank? Joking, but hope you get this all squared away. This has to suck.
Especially when there's so many fuel discounts / rewards points programs and when gas prices are so low.
i've been filling up with this gas for the better part of 6 years and haven't had any trouble. have there been reports of detergents/additives damaging engines?
You guys do know that the gas sold at Shell is no different then gas sold else where, right? Other than the worthless additives that they put in. One offs where people end up with water in thier gas tanks can almost always be attributed to an equipment failure at the gas station.
