How on Earth can they force an employee not to do stupid stuff? When you place an order, you give them your number, no office policy is going to stop someone stupid from giving out personal information they see from work. The company should not be held responsible unless they were making this information easily available to people who had no use for it -- the driver/order taker obv had a need for it.

I input numbers into my bosses phone all the time, I have Rick Perry's cell phone number, GWB, Dewhurst, all the big Texas politicians info....I don't give it out because I am not that kind of person. I'm kind of sick of everyone blaming the corporations and businesses when PEOPLE do stupid and reckless things. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

Since she's Australian, I don't know if you can say typical America. How about typical rich person/celebrity?

#2 She doesn't have a ***ed face, she looks like Charlie Villanueva

#3 She is dating a wannabe Von Wafer

Half of you are crazy. I do agree that Iggy is garbage, and her "blaccent" is something that I just don't understand why people aren't bothered by it. Papa Johns pizza be good though.

haha, shows how much I know about her.

I actually had never heard of her until maybe 2 months ago (I almost never listen to the radio).

I don't even think it demonstrates typical rich/celebrity behavior, so much that it does our current society. It's indicative of a repulsive culture that has developed in the last 10-20 years or so. Don't like something? Sue them. I wish people would just suck it up every once in a while. Now that isn't to say that sometimes companies deserve to be sued. Perhaps Papa Johns was releasing this info to it's employees (I can't see why), THEN I would hold them responsible.

I just don't see how you hold an entire company responsible because one employee memorized information he took over the phone (again we don't really know how he got the info).

Do you get what I am saying? If you call my office and give me your number, and I text you something inappropriate, would you be made at my company or me? I can't see how you'd be mad at the company, how are they supposed to stop me from doing something so stupid? Should we get rid of caller-ID? Should we not be allowed to ask for contact information? It's just silly to me.

We all have our vices. Would any of us stop eating our favorite fast foods even if we became ultra rich?

Warren Buffett still eats cheeseburgers and drinks cherry coke.

I'll tell you one thing, I'd still order my favorite pizzas, get my favorite burgers, and still order from my favorite greasy spoons every once in a while no matter how wealthy or famous I became.

How many here would do any different?

As per the situation, PJ screwed up. They should have simply apologized, and then stated that they were going to investigate the matter and apply discipline where appropriate.

Does Azalea want someone fired? No idea. However, I would think at a minimum she would want to see the company take the issue seriously and discipline the people involved.

    Okay.

I know the bandwagon hate train has already departed, but Iggy isn't that bad for a female rapper. I mean look at Dej Loaf. Now that... is bad.

Come on now... Led Zeppelin and Iggy Azalea. I'm just going to pretend that you didn't draw that parallel.

I know that a lot of people hate on her because of who she is, where she's from, and the type of music that she makes. And if you really pay attention to some of their points, there is a slither of legitimacy there. Just a slither. Yet and still, I'm not one of those people. Do what you do, and get paid doing it. I'm just not a fan personally.

why are people so bothered by the way she raps? Do british singers sound American or British when they sing? Are people bothered by singers like Adele and Amy Winehouse who have a "soulful" voice and don't sing in their accents? Iggy sounds like an American rapper, not surprising.

honestly, the fact that she still buys papa johns, is one fact I do like about her besides her body. yes, its okay for super rich people to eat regular people food lol

I'm not saying she's not hot by normal standards. But by rich young celebrity standards? Nothing special.

And I have a feeling this will be settled out of court with Papa John's paying a lot.

There's a difference between a soulful voice and a blaccent. Especially when you're talking about rap, and that dialect doesn't intersect with your normal speech. But people apparently dig it and she's making a ton of money. Nothing wrong with making hay while the sun is shining.

What about corporate responsibility? They want to run an operation in which they ask customers for personal information to deliver their service, so they take on the burden of the risks that exposes. Sure, the employee took it upon himself to violate company policy to damage the customer. But, why should that indemnify the company against the claims of the customer? The customer didn't establish a business relationship with the employee, but with the company. The customer didn't hire that employee, train him, or dispatch him. The company does that stuff to justify the $x they charge the customer. "We told him not to" is really not sufficient defense when your company hurts a customer.

Does that mean the employee doesn't have personal responsibility? By no means. It's just not to the customer, with whom he has no relationship. He has a responsibility to the company. And that's why he's going to get canned.
