    Steph Curry.

All we have to give up is NOP 1st rd, T Jones, Schved, and Canaan.

Realistically Lawson is going to hard to obtain unless Denver decided he is not the center piece of their rebuild. Collison or Jarret Jack are probably more realistically attainable.

The SUNS are not really doing "quite well". They had a winning percentage of .585% last year and a winning percentage of .545% this year.

They are likely to finish 9th or 10th in the West.

I don't know what Phoenix ultimately decides to do, but they really have not had a special season.

I feel if we don't get Gogi this trade deadline, we'll get him when he turns FA in the summer.

Hoping we get him earlier, but do we have anyone they like?

    Yes he is.

He is a poor defender, poor shooter and poor passer.

Someone will take a chance on him, but he is not a guy you want to rely on.

But they're currently in the 8th spot regardless of how their winning percentage compares to last season. And while I do expect OKC to eventually overtake them in the standings, that doesn't mean their playoff hopes are done. With the Clippers already struggling, Griffin now being out for 4-6 weeks, and a brutal schedule looming, it's not inconceivable that LA falls to 9th or 10th place behind Phoenix and OKC(and possibly even New Orleans).

Bottom line, as long as the Suns have a good shot at the postseason, they'll never put Dragic on the trading block. And considering the trade deadline is a mere 10 days away, I'm thinking they've already decided to roll the dice on making the playoffs. Morey's probably gonna have to look elsewhere if he wants a new point guard before this upcoming offseason.

I thought Lawson might be a target going into the season but I'm not sure about that now. I think we'd dump a 2nd for a Mo Williams type before trading for Jackson. A Lawson deal... not really seeing it anymore. Not with the uncertainty surrounding Dwight's future.

That makes the most sense. I wonder if Morey will try to obtain him.

Not how the NBA works. Teams always value draft picks at a higher level than most players taken at that position in the draft. Look at the Harden deal and most other deals involving picks. Also with draft picks you have players that are younger and under team control for years.

If the Nuggets decide to trade Lawson, the Rockets certainly have the assets to be in the running for him. I have repeatedly been told that the Nuggets ownership doesn't want to rebuild. However, I do know they have been dangling Faried in trade talks for months. I haven't heard anything about Lawson other than the Nuggets sending out feelers to evaluate interest. Ty Lawson has been in trouble with the law twice the last few years and is going to be 28 at the beginning of next season, he isn't really a guy to rebuild around.

The Nuggets would certainly be interested in DMO, if for no other reason than to spin him off on a third team for another player or draft considerations.

Really it all comes down to whether ownership of the Nuggets can be talked into realizing they need to rebuild.

You may be right. If I had to put money on it, I would say 66/34 that he isn't dealt... but I don't think it is a certainty yet.

The goal, imo, is to get that supposed 3rd star Morey said we had to have, not necessarily to find some upgrade or depth at point guard. If Dragic or Lawson fit the bill of a 3rd star, great. If instead it's a power forward that's good too. If all Morey can manage at the deadline is an experienced role-player at point guard, maybe that solves some interim goal for the team but it's ultimately running in place.

I agree, that's why I kind of expected him to pursue Carmelo Anthony. But there may be more to that situation than meets the eye (current injury issues aside).

I also think he likes the personnel we have right now a bit more than teams of the past - going from things he's said in interviews. He might want to keep a larger portion of this group together, longer. But we'll see.
