What will be interesting, to me, is what moves, if any, Atlanta might make with their matrix of record and ownership. And a move, if it were to come, would IMO be small.
Why would the best team in the league surrender a 22 year old rotation player for Beverley and a mid teens pick? Why even take the risk of tinkering with the Hawks roster when they are on path for top seed? Especially for Beverley and a future pick. Come on guys.
The Hawks don't even have a GM right? Doesn't seem like a trade a coach would make. A coach would hang onto every player on that team bitterly not wanting any changes with how well they are playing.
I'll take Jarret Jack or Mo Williams and be happy with that! Honestly! For what Bev has been doing the last month and a half ANY point guard is an upgrade right about now.
I think Mo Williams would be a really good fit. Only thing I'm scared of is him getting lit up on d. Then again Bev is getting lit up so I don't know how much difference that will make
I've always thought there was more to that Brewer/Shved trade and timing of the McHale extension than meets the eye. I've wondered if Love communicated to us that he's interested, so we made the necessary moves to make him more comfortable with us. You can't deny the established relationships he has with the Rockets: 1) Brewer - One of his two closest friends on Minnesota 2) Harden - James said in an interview with ESPN that Love is "a great friend". He also did a footlocker commercial with him. 3) McHale - Drafted and coached him. Love was upset when the wolves let McHale go. It's not much to go on, but there seems to be a growing rift between Love and Lebron despite the winning streak, and the Rockets have put themselves in a position to be a great trade partner with Cleveland. Also, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if we made a trade for Rubio if we can't get something done for Love. Then we make a huge run at Love in 2016, armed with cap space (due to the new TV deal), and a bunch of Love's buddies (Brewer, McHale, Harden, Rubio, etc.)
Agreed. Bev is atrocious. Whenever he drives I always cringe since I know it will be a wasted possession. Harden def needs some help.
Me too. But if Morey can't get Dragic or Rubio at the right price...I'd expect he'll knock on the Hawks door for Schroder long before he tries to go after RJackson or Ty Lawson. I really don't think Lawson is on Morey's list. And I don't think Morey is willing to give up the Pels pick for Jackson. I think Morey would consider trading for Jackson but not at the price of the Pels pick. Maybe a future first (2017) and some other asset not named DMo. Schroder makes a lot more sense for us than Jackson does because of his contract, rookie minimum for at least 2 more seasons after this one. That's a lot of cap flexibility going into next season and the season of Durant.
You can say poo on here. But you'd better be very careful about saying the word, "f*rt". That word makes some people come UNGLUED for some reason. They don't like the "f*rt" jokes. BTW, neither your post nor mine has a thing to do with basketball. I'd normally report both of them to the mods but I couldn't help myself about taking a jab at a friend on this one.
Atlanta isn't messing with their team, especially a key piece like Schroder. Foolish to think otherwise. This thread rages on...
J Sizzle confirms ATL willing to trade anyone but Schroder. Murry, get that entire starting 5 ASAP! (just don't include that NOP pick, it's super valuable)
No one is suggestion they will mess with their team. What I am telling you is Schroder is high on Morey's list. I think Morey would give up more for Schroder than he would for Jackson and for sure Lawson.
not many. Don't go digging for them. But if people start slinging personal attacks and there's no basketball discussion, I report it.
