Whenever I criticize McHale butt-kissers I get anonymous comments in my rep about how I'm one of those fans who's never satisfied, has to complain despite being 35-15.

Don't know who's the coward. Either larsv8 or jtr.

Look, I love the team. I love being 35-15. But we win in spite of McHale, not because of him. It's not all on him. But if I may quote Bill Simmons, "I don't know what McHale is doing there. Sometimes I think he just rolls the ball out there..."

It just means you're normal, I get the same.

Probably lars, if he isn't already on your ignore list..put him on there. It makes reading for the real fans a lot easier.

I don't have a problem with jokers complaining some of the times but dang all of the times. Yes we are winning in spite of McHale but Morey isn't looking at it like you and neither is Les. They think he is doing a remarkable job. That's why they extended his contract 3 more years. Not too many coaches can keep their team afloat each season when their starting 5 and rotational players keep getting chopped up. Let's be real about that Ole buddy.

Your argument against a coach is

    (A) I make a statement with no facts but I'm certain its true and everyone who disagrees with me is therefore wrong

    and

    (B) Bill Simmons said something.

As I said earlier in a post. If these are the reasons why McHale is a "bad" coach, then he must be doin a hell of a job because apparently people can't find tangible stuff to criticize him for.

Locker room issues? No. Everyone's happy.
Underperforming based on talent? No. We're actually way overperforming expecations
Can't deal with pressure? We've overcame roster upheaval, offseason drama, rash of injuries, adding "locker room cancer" Josh Smith, and still humming.

All the typical reasons why coaches suck don't apply to this year's team, at least in the regular season.

But yeah, Bill Simmons said something in a podcast so clearly I gotta agree.

The fact that he left DMo on the bench when they were doubling Harden at the top of the key is seriously idiotic.

A POST option beats that crap 10 out of 10 times, and Dmo was 6-8 tonight.

Gotta agree with DD, Dmo should have been on the floor the last 5 or 6 minutes of the 4th quarter when we were having trouble scoring and defending. He's our second most dependable scoring option and is a solid team defender.

Agreed. Also the bucks were getting lay ups and dmo is a nice rim protector. Not great but much better than what we had out there.

Furthermore they were guarding dmo with dudley and the alphabet and dmo only had 8 shots?

And lastly what kind of coach cannot make the defense pay when they are doubling harden at halfcourt???

Terribly coached game. Mchale almost cost us the game.

You know we can finish the game with 2 big man right? I hate the small ball we are playing. Smith is good enough at defense to guard the alphabet when he plays the 4.

Also at the end of the game scoring was a big problem

i thought mchale played perfect with the match ups till the 4th. maybe he AND the team had confidence they could stick it out and win without dmo... and guess what they did

Did you people see the lineup Kidd put out there? they had Freak and 4 guards on the floor, who would you put dmo on? freak? He was playing well enough without handing them a free layup every possession.

Actually they did get free layups with this lineup. That was why it got close.

Also who would be guarding dmo? We were leading trading layups would favor us. They would be forced to put a big in. I hate the playing smaller because the other team plays small. Force them to put in a big by going inside with your big.

Dmo was the issue for that run, Mchale pulled him after the lead had gone from 16 to 7 (with a free throw to come), he had been the worst defender that game, they had straight abused him off screens the entire game, he wasn't switching properly and they were using it...a lot.

He didn't take a single shot that entire quarter despite having ample opportunities and he was our worst defender through the game.

So with Dmo out there, the lead went from 16 to 7 (plus a free throw a 90% shooter missed, go figure) and the next 6 minutes, he used a lineup that could switch everything and it went from 7 to 6.

    Yeah Mchale you suck

    What facts?

That DMo was on the floor when the other team made a little run?

Who else was on the floor, I guess it was not their fault though, right?

The fact is we should have adjusted to their trap with a high low post play but did not.

The fact is we won the game. Just who would DMo have been on with 4 guards and the "Freak" on the floor?

McHale adjusted with excellent match-ups ...and we won the game. That is what counts.

A lot of my frustration with Mchale comes from is inability to control certain players and keep them from doing the things they are terrible at. Like telling Smith he can shoot three's as long as it's early in the clock, wtf?? Then he's pretending that Dwight a great post player. You have to put your players in the best position to win. I just thin he's too nice a guy to do that when it really counts in the playoffs.

Bottomline is McHale is a pathetic coach. His in game adjustments and rotations are head scratching. He offers nothing from a tactical persepctive, he can't run a play when needed.

The fact that we have MVP Harden covering McHale's sorry @$$ every night is the only reason people are fooled by the 35-15 record. THis record is INSPITE of McHale not BECAUSE of him. If anything he is a liability to this team.

THis nonsense of but we won the game is rubbish. YOu have to thank Harden for that, nothing to do with McHale.

The fact that Harden has to play heavy minutes against EC scrubs like Celtics, Pistons and even Bucks says it all. The guy is literally doing everything in this offense where McHale says give the ball to Harden and let him bail us out.

I fear he will lose some of his legs come playoff time

Jordan and Pippen carried Coach Phil ash

Shaq and Kobe carried Coach Phil ash

Lebron, Wade and Bosh carried Coach Spo ash

And the list goes on and on and on
