I was always curious because watching him it seems like he makes that shot so often.. that it's almost automatic, but I never knew the actual %. There isn't a player with a better % on stepback jumpers on similar attempts in the league... He has like 56 more attempted step backs than anyone else in the league and has the highest % of anyone close to him. Confirmed Step Back King. Spoiler Also Harden is 52% on step back jumpers in the 4th QTR/OT LETHAL Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Vintage Harden Step Back J: Spoiler Will update with more GAWDLY step backs from the bearded one.
Griffin sure is shooting a lot of jumpers this year Also, the gap between Harden and everyone else is pretty damn huge.
rank 5 to 11 all shoot better percentage than him. Yes it is amazing to shoot 52%, but that shouldn't crown him step back king.
Is this a joke? Harden has made 57. That's twice as many as anyone else and almost three times as many as Lillard (#5 shooting 54%). He's the ****ing king of this shot.
Harden has been an amazing player for us since we got him. But I used to groan whenever he held the ball for 10 seconds, dribbled a little bit and then did a step back jumper. They seemed to miss all the time. This season, Harden has improved in every aspect of his game. But his increased proficiency of his step back jumper has been one of the most impressive things about this year
If he shoots over 50% on stepbacks. He should shoot it more. Once he steps back, he stares down, it's a confidence booster for him. His stepback baskets usually go straight down without touching the rim.
Other than high percentage and most attempts, his step back is a thing of beauty. Adam Silver may want to consider banning step backs, because Harden is breaking a lot of ankles.
yeah its not just %'s its attempts. 57 makes, compared to the average which is 18/19? not even close, he's light years ahead
