Anyone hype for MKX? any hardcore fighting games out there? i am ultra hype for MKX, cant wait. it is pretty much the only fighting game series i take seriously and travel to tournaments for.
Its the most time I've spen on my Vita playing that game. It got a little addictive once I got really into it trying to do all the social link stuff. Only thing the dungeons can get a bit boring at times, especially when you're just trying to grind for experience but still I highly recomment that. Persona 5 is going to be day one for me personally
I'm pretty hype, but I gotta say those collectors(or Kollectors) editions they are releasing are a joke. Way too expensive for what you're getting. Don't know if I'll get it day one, but I'm definitely going to get it. Like how all the characters have 3 different style classes to use.
What made you choose to buy P4G? Was it based on reviews, or on a whim? And do you generally enjoy JRPGs like Final Fantasy (before 13) and Kingdom Hearts?
I'm a pretty big JRPG fan but hadn't played one in awhile before P4G. I played a lot of Final Fantasies, loved Kingdom Hearts, and Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite games of all time. FF13 definitely burnt me though. I played the first few hours and was like **** this game. Just something about it didn't vibe with me. I listen to Podcast Beyond regularly and they would always talk about how good P4G was and how good it was doing on the Vita. I liked the look of it and hadn't had my Vita for too long at that point so I figured it would be a good one to beef up my Vita collection. Bought a used copy and the rest was history. I'd say the characters are the best part of the game. They really make you invested and wanting to continue to play. And they did a great job with the localization of the game for American players. The game is super japanese, but I never felt like I didn't know what they were talking about. I actually still haven't finished the game because I took a break and just haven't gotten around to finishing it. Its a looooooooong game so I will applaud you if you finish it to the end, haha

Been playing Transistor and Apotheon, both of which are free this weekend for PS+ subscribers. They're both fun little RPG-type games. Transistor is a bit wierd with it' "in media res" story, but combat is an interesting mix of real time and a pseudo-turn based, Matrix "you're the only one that can move for a set amount of time" style combat. Apotheon is a cool little 2D Metroid type game with an ancient Greek urn art style. Give them both a try if you have the time.
Damn, the Order is getting killed in the reviews. I knew it was suspect that they kept showing the same weak footage and terrible AI. Truly disappointing, I really wanted this to be good. Stuff like this is why my PS4 is collecting dust and why I don't want to preorder anything anymore. Fingers crossed for Bloodborne.
Reviews didn't stop you from enjoying Destiny. There's so much agenda and bias in reviews these days, I don't even look at them when I purchase games. Can't count how many times highly rated games ended up sucking. Look at Watchdogs and Titanfall. Most review scores are based off marketing dollars more than anything else. I don't know of any that offer real unbiased reviews. You're telling me the Kinect Sports on Xbox One is a 7-8 game? That **** is trash. None of the sports are fun and there's so much lag in every sport, it's nearly unplayable.
Destiny is a multiplayer game with a ridiculous amount of replay value...I definitely got my money's worth. The Order is a 5-6 hour single player game that is apparently garbage. You are comparing apples to oranges. Why are you even bringing up Kinect Sports? You sound like you're butthurt I said something negative about playstation. Not to mention every single game you mentioned had much higher reviews than The Order.
First off, you're making the assumption I'm defending The Order, I'm not. I could care less about the game. I was commenting on your opinion based on reviews when you yourself heavily defended Destiny when critics and other forum members here stated their opinions. It's funny how you always twist things to support your agenda and it's no surprise. If reviews are a measurement of success to a video game, tell me why did Sunset Overdrive flop so badly? I think it flopped because everyone knows that Insomniac isn't a good developer and the games they release are mediocre at best, which is supported by the sales history of their games. Your biasness has been starting to show lately. You already know, I prefer PS to Xbox, but at least I have purchased and tried the games/systems out for myself before I formed an opinion.
I was looking forward to The Order but glad I didn't preorder. I planned to buy it with the GCU discount and then trade it in while its value was still high. I'm expecting it to have a steep price drop by next month with the way things are looking. They wanted to make it a cinematic game, but unless you are doing something like Heavy Rain you need to focus on gameplay first. Still have, Bloodborne, Witcher, Batman, Uncharted(I hope), Persona 5(double hope), MGSV(triple hope!) coming out this year. Also any Fallout fans here. It's really looking like Bethesda is planning to announce Fallout 4 at E3 this year. No way it would come out this year, but that would be a big one too look forward to next year. And maybe it won't be buggy as **** at release either, haha
I know you haven't been impressed by the game for some time, as you've said as such. But I'm surprised you care about the reviews. I too, thought you didn't worry about reviews and just used your own judgement on a game.
Yeah I'm extremely biased, that's why I have both consoles. Now you're talking about reviews as a success metric? Dude, do YOU even know what you're babbling about at this point? There's a big difference between a game averaging 75 on metacritic and a few reviewers not liking something based off taste, and a game being universally panned as ****. I'll let you figure out which is which.
See above. Again, I don't care about reviews...but when a AAA game that is console exclusive comes out and it's averaging 5s and 6s that is extremely telling.
Well...there goes one of PS4 hyped games...that has failing flat.....again. I'm still waiting on that compelling reason to buy an PS4....since I have that other console.
