    If the Hawks can get the award, then the Rockets team that won 22 straight back in 2007-08 should also deserve to get their award.

    Normally I would be opposed to awarding a player of the month award like this, but seriously, they went 17-0 in the month of January and set an all-time NBA record for a single month.

    If there was a situation where I could live with making an exception, this would be it. The next team that goes 17-0 for a month with scoring balanced across a starting 5 won't be for a very, very long time.

    Silly indeed. As an above poster referenced, if they really wanna do something like this, just have a Western Conference & Eastern Conference Team of the Month-type thing.
