IF you have a deal in place to sign Dragic long term then I'm ok with Dmo for him, no long term agreement means no Dmo
Smith is the only one that has a good chance against them. Jones can give a block or two but that is about all that he can bring. D-Mo will have problems against them on the defensive end, but his defensive rotations are good.
Yes he was. But then LMA lite him up the 1st 2 playoff games. Do we have an answer to LMA this year? IDK, but if we do, it isn't TJ.
Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets: There two very big reasons why the Nuggets and their point guard should move on. First, as currently constructed, Denver is not going anywhere in the crowded Western Conference. Second, the Nuggets are eight games out of the final playoff spot and are simply not capable of rising up to catch the Phoenix Suns or many of the other teams ahead of them, either. That means there is no reason at all to hang onto Lawson's contract, which is scheduled to pay him $25.6 million over the next two seasons. Lawson can be explosive, effective and, while not up to the level of the elite point guards in the West, could thrive in a different situation where he's surrounded by a better cast of players. http://www.nba.com/2015/news/featur...l-star-2015-break/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt6d http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine Terry, Papa and Jones could do it! Anyone think they bite?
Just from a factual standpoint, LMA actually only lit him up the first game. Howard and Asik were victimized the 2nd game and for large portions of the first game as well if we're really being honest, but the case could be made that his buckets on Jones are what got him into a good groove in game 1.
Dmo can't guard LMA either as well as several other PF 's in this league. Oh yeah Lillard happened, Batum happened, Matthews happened and MO freaking Williams happened. It wasn't just LMA MONON
Trade for Lawson? At his salary Morey would have to give up quite a bit. Most likely we're talking about players like Jones, Pap, and maybe Terry, and possibly a pick. In no way, shape, or form should wemgive up a draft pick for a guy that gives us a moderate upgrade at the PG position. For once I'd like to see Morey show some patience and hang onto the draft pick. And I sure as hell wouldn't part wih DMO or Capella, either. DMO is still young and he's starting to kid shots consistently in the low post. Capella has a ways to go but he looks like a promising defender with great shot-blocking abiliy. Again, patience. Let's not do what we did with Kyle Landry, Drajic, and Parsons.
I hope you mean Kyle Lowry and Carl Landry (nice player if the two were combined). However, I agree. We need to hang onto Capela while he matures, and we can use the Pelly pick for a solid backup center (Willie Cauley-Stein?) or PG (Terry Rozier?). Personally, I prefer "growing" our Rockets from the roots rather than always looking for trans(plants).
I don't think Lawson is the answer. I'm in the "all in for Kevin Love" camp. If we can't get him, then we should hold onto DMo and let him continue to develop. Get a backup PG for the DEN 2nd and go to war with what you have.
lol i hope that was not a serious convo. unless GS completely implodes after the break and drops to the last spot or even miss the playoffs, klay and curry aren't going to part. Thats just like saying we're gonna trade harden. More realistically, we could trade Tjones and get something well in return. Since we have some consistency with Dmo, I think we could get the same production, if not better potentially out of Dmo. I'd rather keep them both, but if dragic was on the line and we had to get rid of one, i'd def choose to get rid of jones.
Patrick Beverly needs to get traded. He is not a starter in this league. I would rather have Reggie Jackson who is a better shooter and can create his own shot, besides OKC won't be able to pay him this offseason. I also don't yet understand how Trevor is still starting, yes D is good but his shot is broke! He can't do much else but get a steal and than you hope he doesn't turn the ball over. He can't hit a layup, when he slashes to the rim he hesitates which allows for his shot to get blocked. Personally, and I've said it before, K.PaP needs to start to balance this team. He's a good defender, great passer, decent shooter, and great finisher at the rim who can create his own shot. My starters would be: C- Dwight<-When Healthy F- DMo F- K.PaP G- Harden G- Jackson<- if we can trade for him Our Bench should bring great D and energy with C- J.Smith/Dorsey F- Jones F- Ariza G- Brewer, Terry<- Save him for the playoffs G- Canaan, Terry<- If canaan can't get it together you bring Terry in as the backup There is no reason why Shved who can't make the most of his opportunity when he's out there to get more PT than Canaan or K.PaP. They need to trade him to OKC along with Bev that way we can also make room for Nick on this roster.
If dmo was gonna be traded for dragic, then we would keep our pelicans pick. I can't see Rockets giving up both. DMO, Papa, and Shved. I wouldn't give up DMO. Rockets should offer Tjones instead.
