    Posted today:

Although this is pretty much the route that was expected, given what the OP says....so I wouldn't take this to mean the knee will definitely heal soon or that surgery won't eventually be necessary.

You and I both wanted a Milsap & Lowry combo this off season (could you imagine the Rockets with THOSE TWO right now?)

So, what do you think of a deal dumping all the Morey assets for Henson, Knight and Ersan?

I'd pull the trigger -- though I can't see why Milwaukee does that deal. Leaving Lowry hanging while we preened for Melo has to be the biggest blunder of the offseason. So disappointing.

Lowry & Milsap on the Rockets now, would be beyond amazing.

BUT...the Rockets could make a suitable clone of that with Brandon Kight and the new and improved DMo!

Henson is basically a better version of Thomas Robinson and fits the bill of what we're looking for: big, athletic, able to impact games defensively, does a lot of dirty work, etc.

So I like the idea, in theory. The problem is cost.

He's playing well for Milwaukee and obviously they recognize our need for him. So unless we're taking on one of their bad contracts, is this sort of trade even feasible?

I disagree. I think 5-5 is pretty much worst case scenario unless someone else goes down. We've played most of this season with either no Dwight, or a gimpy Dwight, and we still have the 4th best record in the league.

I don't think even 8-2 is unrealistic if our shooters heat up a little bit.

... But I'm not ruling out a 5-5 or even a 4-6 if they don't and the offense continues to depend entirely on Harden.

We're 12-12 against teams over .500. I think the next 7-8 teams we face are .500+ teams. This is a decent stretch in terms of the frequency of games, but we are playing more quality teams back to back than we have all season.

I get that, but almost all the +500 teams we're facing this month are either teams that have been struggling lately, or that we just have played pretty well lately.

I forgot to add that we also have a fairly home-heavy schedule this month, and we're finally getting a little rest.

I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but we have some factors in our favor while Dwight is out.

    Very lucky.

It could be that the doctors suggested having season ending surgery, or just wait a few weeks to see if maybe the swelling goes down enough for Dwight to play some games at the end of this season.
