I actually agree with this last bit. downbytheriver is by far the worst D&D poster I have ever seen, his posts scream fascism and he even advocated for arson against muslims in one of his threads (got locked) once. Ironic to see nobody denouncing him. Why don't the moderates on this board please stand up and denounce his perverted posts?

I only saw this post below when it was just quoted. Had missed it before.

On which subject matters? Whether you are entitled to your opinion? What kind of a dumbass question is this? You seem very insecure.

Certainly better than you. While you try hard, you fail miserably.

    And well deserved.

I actually don't. I brought them up as a joke, in response to some clown who kept saying he wanted to challenge me to a "battle of wits". I forgot who it was, but that same person also claimed he had an MBA and what not. Many people here know he is an IT admin in real life, which is perfectly fine, but he was actually the one that continued to throw around his "credentials".

Ah, name-calling. Weren't you the holier-than-thou poster who, in this very post that I am quoting, was complaining about tirades against other posters? Pot. Kettle. Black.

I partly agree and partly disagree. I disagree that anyone should "certify themselves". I do agree that radical Islam is a perverted philosophy of hate and intolerance. I also agree that people are a lot more hesitant to criticize some bullcrap ideology if it calls itself religion (same with Scientology, et al.). So the only part that is questionable to me is what is meant by "certifying themselves". I don't think anyone should automatically have some kind of burden of proof of anything just because they are a member of a certain religion. That would be wrong.

    I didn't see that.

I don't know what you are referring to, but certainly, radical Islam is fascist. However, you seem to be more concerned with a poster called downbytheriver possibly going a bit overboard in his criticism of a fascist ideology. I haven't seen downbytheriver call for beheadings or for any violence at all. Yet, you focus your feigned outrage on downbytheriver, instead of on the real extremists. That says more about you than about downbytheriver.

See above. I haven't seen downbytheriver call for any violence, beheadings, stonings or anything like that.

It is very far off from extremism. Rather, it seems like you don't have your moral compass aligned properly. You direct your fake outrage at a poster that possibly goes overboard in his formulation of criticism towards a fascist, violent ideology, rather than directing your outrage against the fascist, violent ideology.

I've heard that sentiment before, but in my experience the allegiance to Israel in the church has more to do with respecting the chosen people. Ushering in the Second Coming would come from the free-will end of the predestination spectrum -- baptists or similar.

Before you make yourself look like a fool, look into the matter yourself. A large chunk of evangelical Christians support Israel because of the Armageddon prophecy. Because you don't have any anecdotes of these nutty evangelicals doesn't mean they don't exist. The state of Israel loves them because they bring in plenty of tourism revenue. It's quite sadistic if you actually think about.

A "clown" you must be scared of, given that you tucked your tail between your legs and ran from the challenge.

Yes, I am an IT admin with an MBA and who is also working on a PhD. I'm sorry you find it difficult to keep those three factoids in your head at the same time, but they are not mutually exclusive.

You seem to have a strange definition of "throwing around credentials." The only time I even mention them is when referred to as "uneducated" or similarly challenged on my educational background.

Again, only when directly challenged or questioned. What do you expect when you spout off that I "claimed he had an MBA and what not"?

Keep up the clown show, it is entertaining.

Good for you - I am in favor of continuing to pursue education. Well done. What's your Ph.D. about? (I never finished mine.)

Political Science, dissertation will be about taxes or guns, depending on how each shakes out.

Respecting the chosen people is more of what I'm familiar with. A lot of Christian eschatology is tied to the Left Behind books, which are (to be kind) not accurate.
