Also despite the deron Williams trade rumors my question is how do we realistically acquire him with his salary
Foye can be had for nothing and his skill set and contract is what is needed at this time. He is a career 40+% from 3. He is a combo guard that really can run a team. He can play some defense. He is s vet so milk hair will play him. His contract has a team option for next year. He is a fit. That said Lawson is a much better long term solution. DMtheGM needs to talk to Denver
I see zero chance of the Nets buying him out. I do think the Nets buy out Garnett, but he'll get picked up by Doc & the Clippers. You need about $19M in salaries to trade for DWill, which would be: Dwight or JET + KPap + Ariza or JET + Kpap + Brewer & spare parts or JET + KPap + A LOT of spare parts You'd have to have a lot of faith in DWill's health to consider any of those, as it would eat the Rocket's cap for two more season's beyond this one...
To Minnesota: TJones, Terry, Capela, Johnson To Denver: Canaan, Kpap, Shved, Mo Williams, NOP pick, NYK 2nd Rounder, Minny 2nd To Houston: Lawson, Dieng, Kevin Martin Lawson / Bev Harden / KMart Ariza / Brewer Dmo / Smith Howard / Dieng Our team would be deep at every position and our starting 5 would be pretty epic as well. Don't know if the other teams would do it. I think Denver would want more, and I heard rumors Minny isn't that desperate to unload KMart.
Denver would want to unload a bad contract but don't know how that would be possible. Salaries matched but just barely.
A 3 way trade with Philly and Nuggets Nuggets have to give up Lawson but they get MCW and expirings to unload Afflalo, McGee and Danilo. They're freeing up over 25 million. And they get the NOP pick Philly gets Dmo and Canaan and NYK 2nd rounder and Denvers 2nd but absorb the two years on Danilo and Mcgees contract. They would trade all their expirings along with MCW We would lose Dmo but I think it's the only way Philly does it. I'd assume Hinkie covets him. We would trade all our other assets but we would be a stronger team. Lawson / Bev Harden / Afflalo Ariza / Brewer Tjones / Smith Howard / we need someone to sign
I know. Our front court wouldn't cut it. I'm trying here folks. Trying to figure out 3 team trades to get us a solid pg, and a solid 2 guard, and a big man. Teams I'm trying to work with are minny Philly and Denver. Phillys got expirings, covet Dmo and willing to trade MCW which could be sent to Denver for Ty Lawson in a 3 way. I really want Dieng from minny and they'd covet Jones and picks and would like to unload Kmart maybe
Got it. 4 team trade Philly takes McGee and danilos bad contracts for one more year but gets Dmo and Canaan and picks Denver loses Lawson but unloads their worst three contract JJ McGee and Danilo and get MCW and picks. Minny loses Dieng but gets Tjones as their 4 for their corewith nick Johnson and unload Kevin martins contract. We have Lawson / Bev Harden / Kmart Ariza / Brewer JSmith / Hickson Howard / Dieng Woulda been nice to keep either Dmo or Jones, but we gotta give up something to get something. And we got an elite backcourt, possibly got the strongest bench, and amazing rim protection
^tell me that isn't gold Philly would love to have Dmo to give them more time to see who's right with Embiid and Noels Denver builds around nurkic Faried and MCW plus they have a lottery pick and crazy space to sign someone. Minny. TJones is a young PF, gets rid of Kevin martins contract. Rubio/wiggins/jones/and their picks could start winning them some games Only question is where do the picks go? Feel like a team may need that NOP pick as an extra push or NYK 2nd rounder
Rockets: Knight & Henson Bucks: Lawson, Jones, & Dorsey (salary dump) Nuggets: 1st pick from Bucks, 1st/2nd pick from Rockets, Canaan, Shved, & Guiterrez (players are mostly expiring filler) Knight, Bev, Johnson Harden, Terry Ariza, Brewer, Pap Donuts, Smith Henson, Capela, (Dwight)
Add K-Pap instead of Shved to make it a somewhat fairer deal. If the Nuggets want Capela too, it's ok with me. The Bucks can take Johnson if they want. It's still too much in our favor, IMO.
