I'd be willing to bet UT makes a hard run at Braxton Miller at this point. He can play next year.

Not quite sure what the NCAA policy is on this kind of recruitment. Surely a school can't try and get a guy currently under scholarship at one university to come play for their school right? Anyone know what the rule on this is?

He's graduating in the Spring which effectively makes him a free agent & terminates his athletic scholarship (I think they are only 1-year long)

He'd have to re-enroll at an Ohio State graduate program in the Fall to play for them again.

They should identify whoever they think is the best JUCO or FCS QB in the country and go after him. If nothing else, to try to get someone who can legitimately play QB and compete for the job - you'd think the opportunity to play at a major university from JUCO would be a huge selling point, even if you weren't guaranteed to be the starter. If that doesn't work, go after the #2 or #3 guy.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this recruiting rivalry, especially the Kyler Murray events.

A&M College Station branch is splooging all over themselves because they've held off a 6-7 UT-Austin branch's last minute efforts to steal their best recruit. Then Sumlin tweets out WRTS and their offensive coordinator trolls UT-Austin by hash tagging "letsride". A&M-College Station is making themselves look absolutely pathetic by their lack of class and penor envy of UT-Austin.

Then what's doubly hilarious is UT-Austin's QB situation. Think about that for a second. *snort*

Thought this was pretty funny, a summary of the over analyzing comments you hear based on recuits' tweets:

Spoilered because of the large image size...

Funny post. I started to feel pretty dumb with it all earlier in the week.

A&M never lost Murray; he was always committed to A&M. Yet Sumlin and friends celebrate like they just flipped him.

I don't think I will renew my season tickets if Swoopes is the starter against Notre Dame.

Two big pickups in Kris Boyd and Holton Hill just a few moments ago. Both Top 100 overall and Top 10 CBs.

Looks like Juco City for the Ags on the DB front. Come on Bob, don't abandon your team because Swoopes could be the QB. Not many college players would have done better with a patchwork line and limited playmakers. His failing was the fact Strong and company didn't deploy a better rushing attack with two of the best holdovers from the Mack regime in the backfield.

Agreed. It all starts in the trenches and our OL play was some of the worst I have seen. Also didn't help that we lost our starting LT and C.

Gray and Brown showed well enough throughout the year even with a patchwork line. For whatever reason, they just didn't pound the rock with them a ton in any kind of uptempo fashion consistently.
