Reggie Jackson's trade value is not high. He is a real chucker and is five or six months awayfrom getting paid WAY too much money this summer, when he is a restricted free agent. OKC will not be getting either a Motiejunas-caliber big man or a lottery pick, much less both!

    Here would be my suggestion:

    [BOLD]Clint Capela to Oklahoma City

Ty Lawson and filler (Erick Green) to Houston

Reggie Jackson, Pelicans' 2015 first round pick, Jason Terry, and Kostas Papanikolau to Denver[/BOLD]

I would expect OKC to then look to get a fourth team involved, and to package Capela with Kendrick Perkins' big expiring contract somehow in exchange for a veteran big with a huge salary, such as Brook Lopez. Brooklyn will take Capela + expirings for Lopez in a heartbeat.

Reggie Jackson kind of sucks and his teammates hate playing with him. He is getting very few minutes lately. Low trade value.

I think Lawson is criminally underrated and would love to have him here. As a backup for Harden, Afflalo would be amazing. Not sure how we could get both but including expirings, Cannan, NOP pick and Jones would likely be a decent offer.

    Lawson/Bev
    Harden/Afflalo
    Ariza/Brewer
    DMo/Smith
    Howard/Capela

Most talented roster in the league no question.

Capela plus Kendrick Perkins' expiring contract to Brooklyn for Kevin Garnett works. Brooklyn sucks and will not make the playoffs, and Garnett is probably going to retire at the end of the season, so Capela is a nice return here. And Garnett would really be a perfect fit for OKC.

Rogower, So the bottom line in that trade scenario is:

    Capela+NOP 1st+Terry+KPap for Lawson.

I would absolutely do that. Also, Morey PAID the 76ers a 2nd round pick for Shved. Mostly for his 3M salary for trade matching purposes. I would have to believe he is included in any trade.

I don't think we are going to able to afford both Brewer and Josh Smith, let alone both. That's why I think it would be wise to hold onto both D-Mo and T-Jo. If Dwight goes down, D-Mo and T-Jo IMO would play very well together. I hope Morey can find a way, first of all, to keep Brewer and, if possible, Smith while developing Capela, who may turn out to be the best investment of all.

Afflalo would be a nice pickup, but (you're right) I do not value Lawson as much as you. Canaan IMO will prove to be the better value. Again, I'd rather have Tyler Ennis at $1.5M than either of the two.

I highly doubt that Houston re-signs either Brewer or Smith this summer. Other teams will throw a lot more money at them than Houston will. Daryl Morey consistently refuses to overpay for veteran backup types like Brewer or Smith. Morey consistently finds useful veteran rolle players on the scrap heap and gets them for next to nothing. When Brewer and Smith are being offered four years, $20 mil contracts this summer, Morey will thank them for their services and wish them the best of luck.

Also, you may personally prefer all sorts of players over Ty Lawson, but advanced stats like Lawson, a lot, and Daryl Morey probably does, too. Houston is in win now mode, which means they want to go get established stars like Ty Lawson, not roll the dice on guys like Isaiah Canaan or Tyler Ennis.

The fact that Canaan is not playing for Houston is VERY strong evidence that Houston does not view him as the missing piece to the championship puzzle.

At trade deadline bring in another junkyard dog on D and playmaker on O - Lance Stephenson. Guy is still young and upside is high.

Would be a better option to spell Harden off the bench. Would complement both Harden and Terry.

I think that is what Morey is offering for Lawson. The Pelicans pick, Clint Capela, and expiring contracts. I think he is offering the same thing to Phoenix, for Goran Dragic. And I think there is at least one other team out there who has a PG who interests Morey, probably (IMO) Darren Collison. Morey is trying to play teams off of each other so as to create leverage for himself.

Terry is eligible to be traded right now, Papanikolaou, as well. Shved (and Brewer) can't be traded until 2/19. So if you want Lawson now, you are trading Terry + Papanikolaou, not Terry + Shved, or Papanikolaou + Shved. Houston probably does trade Shved but it cannot happen until 2/19.

I have to think Daryl Morey is intrigued by Lance Stephenson. Stephenson was SO GOOD last year, and he's still a young guy.

It seems obvious to me that Morey wants to acquire a G, and to give ALL of the minutes at G to James Harden, Patrick Beverley, and this new G. Jason Terry is almost certainly going to be traded by 2/19. Why does everybody not realize that Jason Terry is going to be traded? I knew this the second I found out Houston acquired him.

I honestly would rather keep Terry because he is still the best 3 point shooter on team and provides playoff/championship vet experience. He is not as efficient as he could be because he is being asked to do to much (facillitating for 2nd unit and too many minutes). And Born Ready makes too much sense, Charlotte is trying to give this kid away and he would provide that 2nd playmaker that everyone and their 3 legged dog insists this team needs to make them a legit contender in playoffs.

Rockets can move Shved, Pap and/or Dorsey/pick to match salaries. Charlotte may want another team like Nets involved too but I agree, Stephenson makes too much sense. Losing Shved and Pap should not mess up chemistry too much either.

Would rather find a way to keep DMo considering no Howard for a while.

What's the point of the trade fa the Rockets?

YaBoy it gives the Rockets a stretch 4 in Marvin williams and good back up C in Henry Sims...

Keep the same starting 5 with bev, harden, ariza, D mo, Howard
Backups of J. Terry, Brewer, Williams(can decently play the 3), Jones, Smith (can be a back up 5 in spurts...he did a solid job the other night against Dallas...) let Henry Sims get Dorsey mins since he can bring more to the table than Dorsey...When Dwight is being monitored Sims can come in and score decently and defend ok. Marvin Williams 7 mill expires next year which is good and bad bc Josh Smith prob wont be back we have a somewhat decent replacement but bad bc 7 mill less we will have come free agent.

Also switch dorsey and canaan teams threw this together while bsn at work...I think its a low key move morey would make to save assets for offseason but keep us competive this year keep in mind williams have good chemistry with josh smith.Sorry for the long post it gives us options and different lineups who knows what value an expiring like Marvin Williams,a decent young player such as Johnson or Clint, NOP pick, NY second rounder can fetch us...
