    I don't recall seeing or reading any law asking anyone from any other religion or any other country to renounce theirs... anyone?

    I like that she put up the Israeli flag. Because nothing says pledging allegiance to America like the flag of a foreign country

    Not that I'm defending this idiotic representative that is clearly pandering to her mouth breathing base, but to be clear, she asked them to renounce Islamic terrorism, not their religion or country.

    Every time I hear the words "Under God" in the pledge of allegiance, and think of the history of how and why that term exists in the pledge, I am reminded that this government belongs to people like this woman as much, if not more, than it belongs to people like me.

    But, as Mark Twain said, "loyalty to the country always, loyalty to the government when it deserves it."

    I don't think that makes it any better... it would be like asking any visitor of Irish descent to renounce IRA terrorism, or any visitor of Catholic descent denounce child molestation by Catholic priests...

    To be clear she also asked them to pledge allegiance to Israel.

    I don't know how this chick has a job but people like her is why they say people in the south are slow...

    Not familiar with Belton but I'm assuming it's a small town in east Texas? If so, probably the right move on her part politically.
