I do not think Cleveland is playing the "asset game". Beverley and DMo instantly improve their defense, which has been woeful for most of the season. Beverley gives them off-ball shooting (which is useful on a team filled with ball dominant players), and DMo gives them an elite post scorer. The NOP pick is an asset....one that they would likely flip to another team in return for another piece. It depends on several things breaking our way, so I'm not saying it's probable or likely.....just that it shouldn't be completely dismissed. And if I'm Cleveland, I care more about the 2016 free agency pool than 2015. IF they decide that Love isn't a long term fit for them, then someone like DMo makes a ton of sense.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=9510804&postcount=71 Sorry, but is this another riddle as to what's going on behind the scenes? Why is BEAR in CAPS? Are we getting Dalembert? Or a former Baylor "Bear" returning to Texas? I'm probably reading too much in to any of these posts. I just feel there is a move about to happen. "I feel it down in my plums." <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/TVcniAcWg0Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The Cavs are not going to trade Kevin Love because they want to win now and they will not get a better player via trade in return. Michael Carter Williams is just about as bad a fit on the Rockets as you can find. Can you imagine Carter 30% Williams launching 3's with Ariza and DMO? I am sure the Rockets are waiting and hoping that Lawson or Dragic or another elite player becomes available so Morey can play his last few cards. Still, with OKC struggling, it is very possible Phoenix decides they can hold onto the 8 seed. Lawson is a great fit as well, but there has been no indication that he is available other than it just making sense. That leaves guys like Deron Williams and Brooks Lopez as fall back options. I am not sure that the Rockets can piece together the contracts to make a deal possible. While Deron Williams is vastly over paid, he would greatly help the Rockets.
I wasn't drawing a direct connection between the two trades. Harden was unlikely to be traded, as is Love. We don't know what we don't know. Every situation is different.
Ryan Anderson played for the California Golden Bears, homecoming with Dwight? I think Codman puts so much filter on his posts it's almost impossible to guess. He posted paragraphs last year that we all thought were about Kevin Love and there was one reference to a nickel for Jordan Hamilton.
This is what I've been wondering lately. The same two names. If we're going to be a team that almost exclusively jacks threes, we need players who can actually make them. Pat was hovering around 40%, if I remember correctly. And another team signed him to a contract that won't make Morey's a-hole churn buttermilk. General Greivis would be a nice we-can't-get-Dragic plan (unless Grievis and the NO pick and whatever else can entice Phoenix into a guard à trois). But borrowing from what someone posted above (Joe Pesci voice), "'Who we gonna trade for? Who we gonna trade for?' Don't you get it? Codman's a mystery. Wrapped in a riddle. Inside a conundrum."
Purely a guess, but I think this is Reggie Jackson who is not happy that he has not gotten paid yet. James has supported him and voiced his opinions to the media. While I do not believe he is the best point guard, he is an upgrade over Beverley for sure as a point guard and is definitely a better player.
Again, Jackson is an egotistical chucker looking to get paid big and shoots below 30% from 3 point land. You want him next to Harden in an offense that relies on the 3 ball so much?

I think it's probably Melo or Bosh.... Same guys we wanted in the offseason, who now have their contracts, but may not like where they are, after the new of the money has worn off....or they never intended to play out their contract in their respective cities.
Hope you are right. Although, with Bosh, he is on a team making a run to the playoffs, so they may be loathe to give him up.
