Parsons once again comes up empty against a relevant team. This self entitled b**** was offended and believed in his hype way too much, so much that he thought he'd be better than a 3rd option. Well he is clearly at best 4th option now at the Mavs. The guys stats are down across the border and honestly he is no more than a role player. Just a max role player. What a buffoon for talking crap about the Rockets
Fegan is a blood sucking power broker. The only things he cares about are his own pocket and the power he can wield.
In all honesty he should be the 3rd or 4th option. The players ahead of him on that Mavs squad are flat out better offensive options. That doesn't mean that Parsons isn't a good player, it just means that players like dirk and ellis are better.
And at what point do we say, "Yes, and Ariza is making half of what Parsons makes." And if you don't think his defense makes up for Parsons LACK of defense, then you don't know playoff basketball.
See, this totally fails to recognize Parsons was a defensive standout when he broke into the league. He CAN play defense, it was just last year he was not really asked to play it. Same for Harden. Parsons is better than Ariza every day of the week, and twice on Sundays. DD
What do you mean he wasnt asked to play D? You beleive the coaches told him he didnt have to play D? Coaches want EVERYONE to ALWAYS play D. What a stupid statement.
It was in response to this quote: Parsons could have gotten a longer term but Fegan told Cuban to retain some flexibility. It looks like it was for Cuban's benefit rather than his client's. Also, there were reports that he got Dwight here in return for Parsons' earlier release from his rookie contract. Dwight took less money to play for the Rockets. So he is playing one client for another. The sum total money Parsons and Howard eventually got is more than if Howard stayed in LA and Parsons stayed in Houston (thus the bigger commission). But it is not necessarily the best deal money-wise for the individual players.
You should go cheer these people up. http://mavericks.scout.com/forums/2...point-your-thoughts-on-chandler-parsons?s=268
Without doubt we are in the 2nd round last year if you swap Parsons and 42% from 3 Ariza in that series. Ariza wouldnt have let Batum go off either, and I doubt he lets Lillard get wide open!!
Lol apparently some thought on their forums Parsons would be Dirk's replacement. Oh my, and I thought clutchfans overrated players.
I read that a lot at the time from Dallas fans. Honestly, when your team pays a guy that much money, that kinda becomes the expectation whether or not it's fair or grounded in reality.
yep..i totally agree. I think this move was made, at least in some part, as a way to one-up Morey with the little rivalry between those two front offices. Cuban said as much. I'm not sure that's a great reason to give a guy that kind of contract.
Good read. Don't mind DD, y'all. He's great overall but has periodic meltdowns filled with dozens of WTF posts.
Unless his client did not want to be in Houston anymore, which is quite possible. If so, Fegan was very crafty in getting a great all around deal for his client.
This is the last post of the Dallas blog, YIKES! I almost feel sorry for Parsons but I was one of the individuals that glad to see him go. Somehow, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in a Rockets uniform again. Every single post in the thread bashed him. I feel no pity for people who make 15 million for playing basketball. As lean as he is, he should be a lot quicker driving to the hoop. He'll get the occasional steals but his perimeter defense is weak. Luckily there aren't too many elite SFs in the west. I would rather have Ariza than him, at least he hustles and his shot isn't flat
