To move away from the troll fest, the tweet wasn't that classy. CP just keeps upping the ante for no good reason. Just seems to underline he's (1) not very smart, and (2) likes attention, a lot.

Given half a season of data now, here's what we see from CP over the transition from Houston to Dallas.

Decreased: MPG, FGA, FG%, PPG, RPG, APG. The assists are down from 4 to 2.3 actually, which is really surprising. I guess we could chalk all his decreased stats (except FG%) to slightly decreased minutes + a decreased pace on the Mavs?

But I would agree with his tweet in this way: yes, a team has a better chance of reaching the finals if it gives CP less minutes as a starter.

If I was Parsons I'd fire Fegan on the spot after hearing that. So he messed up a LONGER deal for Parsons just to help out his buddy Cuban?

I thought part of that is getting out of the deal early to get paid more money. Of course, since Cubes did a deal with the devil, he'll get the privilege of signing Parsons to that even longer even more money deal when he opts out of that last year. But from Parsons standpoint, I don't think it was bad.

Mavs have real title hopes. Now that's funny.

Parsons didn't actually cause Mavs the game vs CHI, but I was laughing because he fouled Taj Gibson with 0.1 sec left on the shotclock for CHI. The whole DAL arena groaned.

Taj proceeded to hit one FT to give CHI a 5pt lead.

And its precisely why Parsons gets no sympathy from us either. If Parsons really cared about staying in Houston, he wouldve waited and instructed his agent to give Houston a bit more time. In the end, it seems it has worked out for both parties. Fegan and Parsons were thinking more about "how to make it difficult for Houston to match" rather than how to make things work...

No matter how Cuban spins it, Parsons is not a golden boy.

Not with those numbers at a time when a new crop of stars are ascending--Curry, Klay, Butler, Teague, Kyrie, Wall. No way Parsons will ever be on their level.

Max contract for someone who's not their closer? haha

If they get hot in April and May, they could make a run. But I can't imagine them winning 3 rounds against Western Conference teams.

Mavs outrebounded 47-30 by the Bulls last night. CP shot well, but he grabbed one board in 38 minutes.

Mavs losing at home was sweeeet.

Parsons as a Maverick = Lin as a Rocket

Overpaid role player signed to a suicide contract.

Another 1 rebound game tonight, in 30 minutes. -9 for the night, and Mavs LOSE to New Orleans. Yissss.

You guys are being awfully critical of him when Ariza is missing one open dunk/layup after another. And no, I don't think his defense makes up for the lack of offense in the long run.

Ariza is being paid in accordance with his production.
Every season Ariza shoots poorly after a hot start, and increases from Feb onwards.

He is a career 29% 3pt shooter in Dec, and a 39.9% on his career in Feb.
post all star break he is 38.2% from 3.

Parsons is a max player who cannot defend, and offers little to compensate on the offensive end (measured by salary), AND he wants to make out like we made a mistake.....
for what it is worth, over his shorter career, Parsons is 37% from 3 post all star break.

I will take the dedefender who is a better 3 point shooter and not paid the max everytime!!!

Another huge dud from Parsons in a loss to the Pelicans.

Redick has given the Clippers more production this season at a much more efficient rate.

Even as their 5th best player, 3rd on offense, he contributes nothing to them being taken seriously.

Chandler's brother -- the same one who called Harden "an entitled b****" and later deleted the tweet -- getting trolled by a Mavs fan (read from top to bottom):

Of course Brother Parsons later deleted his responses from his timeline lol.

Wait a second, Cuban was willing to give a 4 year deal, but Fegan convinced him not to because of Houston? Aren't agents meant to be doing what's best for the player and not their friends?
