My guess is we are fine with whoever comes at the cheaper cost. In an absolute sense, we probably prefer Dragic.
This is my view as well. The problem with Lawson is that he's a terrible defender. Too short and weak to guard many of the top PGs in the west. But he's still such a huge upgrade that it's a minor concern overall.
A world where Gogi tests free agency, Suns crap their pants and trade Gogi to the Rockets, and then during free agency Gogi signs with the Suns. A world in which I don't want to live in.
Dragic still feels like a pipe dream at this point. After watching this last stretch of games, we need another PG. Patrick is such a warrior, however he just doesn't have the skill you'd like to see out of a starting pg. He would benefit so much coming off the bench. Especially with that second unit.

Agree. Howard was the best big man in the playoffs last season without question and a man amongst boys against Portland. Get Howard healthy and try to find the 3rd piece to go with both Harden and Howard. Stay the course, Morey is very very close.
But this may be the exact reason why he isnt in a Rockets uniform yet. Morey would want a short extension c/ any deal that requires him mortgaging young assets. Someone will get Gogi on the cheap...hope its the Rockets!
For those not following the Dragic thread. I found this news very interesting. I wonder how Dragic feels about being benched for this.

Wow. Jeff Hornacek just said Dragic was benched due to violating team rule about getting T's (get a T, sit for the rest of the game)
— Amin Elhassan (@AminESPN) January 24, 2015

Hornacek: Goran sat rest of gm cuz he argued with ref. that's rule. Suns seem to know they may not be able to keep Dragic and if that's the case we know Morey, based upon the Amick column, has left them plenty of proposals. If at the deadline they freak, they will know exactly where we stand and hopefully that's enough for them to pull the trigger. Doubtful but one can hope.
U guys making out dui to be nothin. Personally, i think that if u get a dui, ur license should be revoked for 10yrs or something serious. Basically u are turning a 2000lbs hunk of metal moving at high speeds into a lethal weapon. Give me character guys sll day.
Younger, cheaper, more demonstrated success. No impending free agency. Lawson also facilitates much the same way Harden does, second in the league at setting up corner threes, so our supporting cast can be better designed to play off both of them.
