I can confirm that it has not yet been confirmed by him....but I'll need him to confirm that I confirmed it before I feel certain.
1. You said 14-16. There is no chance the pick is 14-16. It'll probably be 11-13. 2. It would be another good young player they can either develop or flip later. It's called acquiring cheap assets: see, the Harden trade. 3. Another straw man? The pick is the key piece. Jones, Canaan and Capela are additional pieces. 4. Wrong about the pick. Wrong about Jones. Wrong about Capela. 5 nickels for a quarter is how contending team-rebuilding team trades work. Are you new to the NBA? Why wouldn't Nuggets fans want a near all star player for their veterans? Wolves fans are probably clamoring for the same thing for Kevin Martin. Luckily, we live in the real world where fans and attention-seekers who have no clue what they're talking about don't set trade values. 5. Wrong again. The Kings were after Plumlee.
1. I guess you don't know who Anthony Davis is. That team has been hovering around .500 all year long, even so in the best case scenario a 11th pick is not as valuable as fans seem to think it is to snag another teams best player out from them. 2. Except that the Nuggets are probably not looking to trade their best player for someone they are going to just flip. The Harden trade is something that you can't refer to offhand and expect it to be a legit strategy to get superstar players lol. It took a team first drafting 3 superstars, it took a owner not willing to pay all 3, it took an owner/gm with pride and ego to ship off Harden quickly because they wanted to teach others a lesson that he should have sacrificed instead of negotiating for all he could get, it took supposedly two other teams turning down the trade (Beal, Klay)... It's not something you refer to "See Harden trade." no, most teams with a superstar player hitting RFA are going to handle that business. 3. So again Jones (who they have Faried...) Canaan a player we don't use and is still unproven, Capela another unproven player, and the pick to draft ANOTHER unproven player for a guy averaging near 17ppg and 10apg...okay... 4. Wrong about the pick? Is it draft time now? How can I be wrong about a prediction that hasn't come true yet? Wrong about Jones, about capela? It's funny people think we are going to get near all-star players for Jones. Except in the NBA teams only trade their best players near the deadline of the last year of their expiring contract when it is clear they won't resign. The Nuggets have no reason to get rid of Lawson, he hasn't demanded a trade, he hasn't made it clear that he wants out, neither have the Nuggets conceded into 'Rebuilding' mode. Kevin Martin? Dude is 30+ and hurt, Minny fans would be dumb to expect anything from him. You are right, we live in the real world where none of this discussion matters. Including your opinion on what Lawson's trade value is. You think he's worth one starter and unproven players. I think the Nuggets are not even that interested in trading him this season. 5. They were after both. Kings have been very active, I don't see why they would just ignore this opportunity.
I wish there was a way to keep this thread only related to cyberx insider info (and discussion around it). Every time I come in this thread and see a discussion of a player/topic, I get excited, only to find out it's from some random poster without any proven credibility.
Whats with the confusion on where the New Orleans pick will be? It's simple The Pelicans will be at best, the 10th spot in the west this season (unless huge injury to the Suns or Thunder). The eastern teams will all obviously have worst records, which means the pick will be at best 13th overall, and at worst probably 11th (Thats if the Nuggest and Kings pass them. 13th overall is the most likely. Same exact pick we traded for Harden basically.
DUI stands for "driving under the influence" as opposed to DWI (driving while intoxicated". The picture suggests an upper type of drug like cocaine or meth.
Woah woah, lets be real here, he lives in Denver, Colorado. Do you really think he's on coke or meth? We all know what he was on...
Sense has returned to me. Trading Howard for Ibaka would be rediculous. As good a fit Ibaka would be with DMo, you don't trade the best defensive center in the league.
Why Phoenix wanna hold on to Dragic if they don't even play him?!?! He's gonna walk at the end of the year, might as well trade him for a lottery pick and a bustling young Power Forward. Your move, McDonough.
Lawson can break down defenses with his dribble penetration and find guys open when defenses try to converge on him. This guy would be perfect for Rockets. With his DUI, the Nuggets might unload him more than ever. I would gladly give up the Pelicans pick for him.
