You can answer this question by asking yourself....

Is there a PG in the league that is worse than Ronnie Price?

None of the starting PG's are worse than Lin, may be Price but yet Lin was demoted for Price.

Lin is amongst the mid to lower tier amongst back ups on par with someoen like Donald Sloan.

And they will steal the ball from behind with ease at a critical juncture of the game?

I can see it now. With Kobe out, the Linsanity show appears and costs the Lakers their lottery pick. Oh, that would be awesome! :)

LMAO, now he is going to be benched and play behind Rookie 2nd rounder Jordan Clarkson. First it was career journeyman scrub Price and now this.

And yet the Lin fans, all of them being idiots started calling racism on Harden, McHale etc, and all kinds of conspiracy theories when he was benched for Beverley. I am sure now Byron Scott will be called a racist yada yada etc. This is getting funnier by the day. Im

The Lakers let some dude named R Kelly play in the starting line up instead of lin.

    Ignition Remix > Linsanity

    Yeah this is puzzling.
Maybe Lin got/is about to get traded?

Or Scott knows Lin isn't going to play in LAL after this season so is deciding to groom Clarkson instead.

    http://www.latimes.com/sports/laker...p-changes-jordan-clarkson-20150123-story.html

Byron Scott made wholesale changes to the Lakers' starting lineup, benching Wesley Johnson, Ed Davis and Ronnie Price in favor of rookie Jordan Clarkson, Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre for Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Sacre had racked up a slew of DNPs in recent weeks, while Clarkson had been firmly behind Price and Jeremy Lin in the point guard rotation.

Clarkson had played sparingly after being a second-round draft pick last June.
"I just thought it was time, to be honest with you," Scott said. "He’s been out here for 40-something games now…I just want to see him in a bigger role."

Byron Scott just throwing **** against the wall now. Much like coaches of other tanking teams.

I wonder when they will cut Lin. Now or after the trade deadline. In theory they could put Lin's expiring contract into a deal if they need to match salaries, but they got plenty of those on the roster (Nash and Hill being two other big ones) and Lin's balloon payment complicates the math a bit, too.

Lin is not a star or anything, but he's been much better than he's been playing for Scott this year.
