Jacoby says Harden has less help than Curry, that's why James is the MVP.
Jalen says Harden is the only player with Jordan and LBJ to average 25pts/5rebs/5asts/2stl (which is not completely true, since it was done by Kobe, Wade, Drexler and Rick Barry too), and that's why he's having an MVP season.

Yea, but their reason why they think he's MVP is basically because they don't think the rockets are as good as the warriors.

It doesn't matter what they think. If the rockets are not top 3 and the warriors are , Curry will get the MVP. Harden will have to go on the tear Kobe went on from 05-07 in order to get it as a 5th or 6th seed.

Love Harden, but I am more interested in the Rockets advancing in the playoffs than his MVP chances.

That's a hard premise to argue. The Warriors are better (allowing for a second that it's Klay vs. Bev at the 'other guard' position) at every position except center (which is much closer than it should be), and arguably every bench slot is filled by a better player on GS than Houston.

Rockets are not on the warriors level. James harden just makes it look like we are at times. If he has a bad game or is slowed by defense we are done.

Wow thats surprising since Jalen never shows James any love.

If curry has a bad game they still have klay. If klay has a bad game they still have curry and then ai and david lee come off the bench. Harden does not have that. Our standing is impressive when u realize how badly dwight has played this year. James harden is mvp.

Can't tell if Jalen is being serious or just bucking the trend of ESPN hate on the Rockets.

He does when he's not pressured to push ESPN narratives on national television.

As for the video...they're right. Harden is the more deserving candidate, but Curry will win because his team is better.

Harden is a better player than Curry, but MVP is for the best player in the better team, so Curry is a MVP so far.

I feel like Harden ticks all the boxes to be the MVP but also passes the gut test.

    Top five player: check
Team on pace to win 50-55+ wins: check
Having a better season than previous years: check
Team implodes in his absence: check

Throw in the clutchness, lack of a second player to take the load off him offensively and the way he appears to be playing a different speed than everyone else and it's hard to deny that the guy is the MVP.

Curry is a great player and certainly has good stats but he isn't in the same situation as James and I don't think he could be as successful if he was.

They said what informed NBA fans think.

I want Harden to earn the max money on his contract including any incentives that are included. For sure MVP is one of the incentives and Harden has definitely been gunning for it. There's no doubt that Harden will be jipped if Curry wins it. This is Harden's best chance of winning it with Lebron, Durant and other typical candidates not performing to par.

Side note: Any conversation about Klay Thompson competing with him for best 2-guard is just bull-crap. Thompson will never be able to carry a team and Harden is as good as him on defense this season. Pretty much the end of discussion
