Dmo is more athletic that Gasol and Randolph. He is not more athletic than LMA or Demarcus. I'm not trying to compare Dmo to players on other teams. The point is he is OUR best low post player and is damn good. Dwight Howard is NOT a good low post player and takes away from Dmos looks.
So what was your take away last night when Dwight couldn't back down David Lee? Or got stripped multiple times whilst dribbling into the double team?
they are not better they are just all around more proven players/vets with more touches minutes to showcase...dmo only got a 10 or so games with a cuople of oportunities for postup in each and clearly showed hes more skilled/talented than them... in words of bill simmons with my life on the line i am going with dmo posting up a player over anyone else on this planet... hes got skills.. and hes showing them despite being coached by mchale... those skils are shining behind all the rust mchale throws up on him...
his game was rusty because mchale doenst give him more then couple of postups each game.. and his teammates stop going to him as soon as he miss one or two...just pathetic
But dwight is consistently horrible in the post. He was just extremely horrible last night. I understand that he's dwight howard - has a great body, amazing athleticism etc but he is not a skilled offensive player. It is a negative play more often than not when he gets the ball in the post. I wish we had a serviceable low post player that can make easy shots and not turn it over....oh yes that's right. Dmo.
lol He needs help. Dmo can't stretch the floor and pull defenders from the paint and also we are bad shooting team. Want to stop Howard? Pack the paint because no one but Harden is a threat.
Honest question but why is everyone so high on DMo? I get that he's a good player with good post moves. 1. Are we high on him because he's on our team and is arguably our best post scorer? 2. Or is it because we think he can be our future PF for many years? I like DMo because he can be/is a very serviceable PF but I don't see what he does that's so special that warrants all this praise.
lol Dmo was in the post and shooting hook shots so I am guessing that Mchale is getting blamed for that.
Almost all of them. I should of added more to my post. I agree he should get more touches in the post and is our best post scorer. I'm just curious to see what people really think of him. I understand the reasoning for saying Yes to #1 but not #2, which I believe is what some people believe.
You are seriously becoming more Lin fan-esque by the day. DMo has had about 15-16 strong games in a row -- do you credit the coach for those strong performances, since you blame the coach for him having a bad night last night? He had several good looks and missed a lot of them. It's called an off night, and every player has them. Creeping into nothing-that-goes-wrong-with-DMo-is-ever-his-fault territory does very little for your credibility.
you realize josh ****in smith is taking whichever shots he likes under this system... and dmo who is universes more effective than him is not offered the same opportunity
