Obama's lame duck State of the Union Speech: will anyone watch or care?

I caught him a few weeks back trying to bust me for being an inferior officer of the court, of course I haven't actively practiced in awhile, am well past my Star Jones phase, yet somehow....ol FV, whom I have rarely deigned intercourse with prior, figured itwas a jsmoove button push move even though I never mentioned it prior to him

Just to illustrate one of dozens of completely empty promises and superficial remarks from Obama's speech last night:

Quote from State of the Union: "And many of you have told me that this isn’t what you signed up for — arguing past each other on cable shows, the constant fundraising, always looking over your shoulder at how the base will react to every decision. Imagine if we broke out of these tired old patterns. Imagine if we did something different."

Then this email was sent literally minutes after the speech was over:
"Friend -- I hope you're excited about the agenda I laid out tonight for 2015. Now it's time to get to work. Let's go -- make a monthly contribution to support Democrats now.
Thanks,
Barack Obama"

 

Funny, if you google this statement (or parts of it), you find a handful of articles with no source (or articles that have been retracted/edited), your post, and a bunch of nothing.

I'm guessing this you got this from some freeper blog and just parroted it here.

I find it curious that no one can produce even so much as a screen grab of this...

 

Obama gave an hour long speech and is out sending emails literally minutes later? I'm impressed. Give that guy a raise!

 

Actually I've noticed this as a trend among the Obama haters here. They won't have anything original or of substance to say, so they regurgitate the info on Fox News or other ultra conservative websites. Sources, facts, or truth be damned.

 

I wonder about this. I thought that oil & gas was feasible and is cheaper b/c of government. Unless Commodore is saying keep the government "handouts" that help oil & gas but remove everything else that doesn't. Commodore?

Yeah, with bigtexx for instance you can usually see the same topic of the day on Rush and Fox Obama played gold when something happened in the Middle East or he saluted with a coffee cup in his hand while carrying something in the other.

Obama did what had to be done to pump up the base for 2016. Obama's been a moderate-to-conservative president. The picture that gets painted is that he is being 'stymied' by the Republicans or must bend-over-backwards, yada yada yada.

In reality he is putting up the least amount of resistance to do the least amount of work possible to get across a very moderate agenda that reflects the American voter. He was after all the leader of the Choom Gang. I think he just wants to be well liked.

 

Finally saw it, dude was awesome, I wish he'd had the same tenor for the last 8 years. The GOP response was tepid, stiff and boring. It's time to move on into the 21st century and do great things, and not be nostalgic for a 50's version of America that never really existed.

 

Change is constant, you can direct it toward progress or repression, but things will change.

Lol, Obama being himself. He has the worst foreign policy in the history of this nation. His one claim to fame ,Obamacare, has caused the price pf health care to rise for almost everyone. It is truly sad to be the joke to the majority of the nation.

 

Gains in jobs????? Please continue to believe the liberal lie. The reason unemployment has declined is because so many have given up on finding jobs. When people quit looking for jobs they are no longer counted as "unemployed" but please continue to believe all the lies your president is telling while the majority is embarrassed by our idiot president
