its telling of how he plans in a playoff series. You have to beat a team 4 times? Yea lets make adjustments.
This is a fairly damning loss for McHale. 2 blowouts to the same team within a week rarely happens in the NBA. Very pathetic.
He's a bad coach, we knew this last season, started off well this season but has regressed since, he cannot get these guys to play hard, which is unacceptable for a team with this much talent.
If this team plays hard, we are incredible defensively. Ariza is shooting better and is a great defender, Dwight when motivated is an elite rim protector and finisher at the rim, DMo is emerging, Canaan is a great young shooter who weirdly doesn't get any playing time, Brewer is a great open court talent and good at corner threes. When Jones gets back we have enough to make a run THIS season, we just do not play hard and our chemistry is terrible, the Smith signing was a mistake.
it's ridiculous. my "favorite" is when Dwight sets a pick at the 3 pt line, half asses it, and both the ball handler and Howard end up driving to the lane together, not more than 3 feet apart. 1 defender is now guarding 2 players and they both stop, look at each other, and then the ballhandler dribbles out having wasted most of the play clock. that Lethal Pick n Roll !!!!!
If we get another coach in the Harden/Howard era he's going to wonder WTF we've been doing all this time.
I have told you guys a hundred times tha McHale is a liability and an overall joke. A coward who points fingers everywhere but himself. A clueless incompetent joke. Getting blown out twice to the same team is unacceptable and truly pathetic Please fire this moron ASAP
I'd argue that we haven't shown consistent effort in about a month. We are 10-9 over the last 19 games, many of those losses were effort driven, where we just didn't compete flat out for a long stretch.
I guess everyone wants to play for McHale, just not that hard apparently. C'mon guys, let's play harder! Har Har Har
Everyone loves playing for him because he doesn't hold players accountable, players can get away with subpar effort.
A team that goes for nearly a quarter of the season without competing for half of those games is not one that's going to advance very far in the postseason. That tells me they're not being held accountable by their coach and know they can slack off and not face any repercussions in terms of playing time or their spot in the rotation. And it's not like this is last season's joke of a roster that had little depth. McHale has options. He could bench Bev and replace him in the starting lineup with Canaan. He could sit Ariza in favor of Brewer(not saying he should, just giving an example). He could play Dorsey instead of Smith. Or even Dwight. He could give Nick Johnson some minutes if Terry's too tired out there or his shot's not falling. I never see any changes though. It's the same rotations. Same offensive gameplan. Same mistakes or lack of effort on D. Same lack of preparation against opponents. McHale as a head coach is either incompetent or lazy(or maybe both).
