Nice trade proposal. I would pull the trigger, no doubt.

Dwight and Josh for Wroten, Embiid, Sims. I wish.

Maybe we are thinking about this the wrong way. As much as I would love to acquire Dragic, he is too costly. On the other hand, after listening to Clutch's podcast in which he discussed a small trade move, perhaps we are looking at the wrong Phoenix point guard.

How about Tyler Ennis for Terrance Jones? We get a young, crafty PG with loads of potential and they get a skilled PF who, at the worst, is highly tradeable. The salaries are about the same, and Ennis has no chance of cracking their current 4-PG glut.

Love this 3 team trade idea. Except Rockets should wait to trade deadline and go after Bledsoe instead of Dragic.

    Phoenix out: Bledsoe
Phoenix in: Stephenson, Shved, NOP 1st

    Charlotte out: Stephenson, 2nd
    Charlotte in: Terry, Pap, Dorsey

Houston out: Shved, Terry, Pap, Dorsey, NOP 1st
    Houston in: Bledsoe, Charlotte 2nd

Toss in TJ and/or Nick if necessary. Keep Capela and/or sign Okafor/Camby.

    Houston Out: K.Papa/T.Jones/NOP1st/NYK2nd/Rights To Llull
    Houston In: Dragic

Houston Outlook: They get their beloved PG and second ballhandler/playmaker. Dragic is the perfect fit for this offense and would help our championship asperations tremendously.

    Phoenix Out: Dragic
    Phoenix In: K.Martin/NOP1st/NYK2nd

Phoenix Outlook: They do give away their best player but they really have to be feeling the heat from dragics camp concerning FA. Instead of loosing him for nothing they get valuable assets/picks and a very good player that is a much better fit to continue with their playoff run while also looking to the future.

    Minnesota Out: K.Martin
    Minnesota In: K.Papa/T.Jones/Rights to Llull

Minnesota Outlook: They are looking to clear up playing time for the younger players on their roster and gain an expiring and a young electric player (depending on health). Also they get Llull who they may be able to convince to come over and play with rubio. i know BBholic thinks rubio is destined to be traded but im more skeptical.

    Thoughts?

New Orleans just lost Jrue Holiday for 2-4 weeks, so that probably, at least, costs them a game or two over the next month, despite a pretty soft schedule. Bumps up the value of that pick a bit because it probably helps solidify their place outside of the playoffs right up to the deadline.

Denver has a really tough schedule before the deadline with 8 on the road and 3 on home, but with two of the home tilts against Washington and OKC. It would be nice if they also went on a real slide and dropped a spot or two in the standings to improve the outlook of that 2nd rounder, too.

I had never even thought of K-Mart & Minny as the facilitator of a deal for Dragic ... It does fit the thought process of getting Phx a wing player in exchange just as well as Stephenson or Aflallo. It also gives them a shot to remain in the playoff hunt and at the same time ridding themselves of the Dragic dilemma.

Didn't Rubio sign a 4 or 5 year extension ? No reason for Minny to move him if that's the case.

thats what im thinking. yeah rubio recently signed an extension. martin could become their go-to scorer and become playoff caliber even if barely. they also gain assetts to continue building on their future.

OKC is just too good not to make the playoffs. I admire their owner for wanting to go all in, but it seems to me they'd be insane not take a lottery pick and D-Mo/TJones, both of whom will probably be starters in this league for a long time. Especially when Dragic can just resign after the season. And then, why have 3 very capable starting PGs on the roster?

I've rationalized it to myself, we're getting Dragic! It's happening!

Im a bit disappointed with how Dwight been playing. He is not dominant scorer. He is a not a threat around the rim and he can't shoot 10 ft away fr the rim. If he is going to just defend and rebound, might as well just get someone like Asik, a lot cheaper. Any chance to trade him? or maybe we don't have the right coach to utilize him?

As of the rest, Ariza, Bev, D Mo...they are more like second unit players. I really hope DM make major trades soon. This team is far away of being contender.

Lets trade the Rockets, Houston's top 2 oil companies and the Sam Houston statue for the Warriors and a future second.

    Get R dun Murraiye.

    Simple Rockets/OKC trade....

    Rockets get: Reggie Jackson

Rockets get a starting caliber pg that relieve pressure off Harden, by being a secondary play-maker.

Thunder get: Patrick Beverly, Joey Dorsey and 2015 NOP pick

The Thunder get a veteran backup PG to back up for Westbrook, in addition to a really good first round pick.

What would it take to get Brandon Jennings here?

This is what I propose we do.

Jones, Papa, Terry, Canaan for Jennings, Jerebko

Then send Shved for Miles Plumlee

    Jennings/Bev
    Harden/Brew
    Ariza/Jerebko
    DMo/Smith
    Howard/Plumlee

Jennings: playmaker and scorer. Poor mans harden next to harden.
Jerebko: perimeter threat who can play stretch 4 if we need him to. Decent rebounder also.
Plumlee: backup for howard who is a good rebounder and post player.

This team would be one consistent coaching job away from title runs.

Can we trade McHale for a 7th round pick & then turn that into Jerry Sloan or Rick Adleman ?!

I was actually thinking last night that a smaller move like Jennings or Brandon knight might be what happens and could be s very underrated move as both are playing pretty well. Especially if we could get a stretch 4 off the bench.

Also, anyone in the know, It's it possible for us to trade smith at the deadlinw since he was a fa signing? Or is there some sort of rule or restriction. TIA

Smith cant be traded for 90 days after signing , we're stuck with him since that 90 day mark comes on March 25th - After the trade deadline.

Not a bad Idea, but Joey Dorsey is playing better than Howard right now, so im a bit reluctant to trading him for reggie. But then again, an actual starting PG is a lot more important.

HOU receives: Ty Lawson, Wilson Chandler
DEN receives: Trevor Ariza, Patrick Beverley, Terrence Jones, Kostas Papanikolaou
This trade would help us in that we'd get our second playmaker in Lawson, and it would allow us to get out of Ariza's bad contract for a marginal change, possibly an upgrade in Chandler.

Here is a random trade idea that won't happen, but makes some since (or maybe it makes no sense).

NO in: Dwight (sorry knee jerk etc.)

Hou in: Jrue, Anderson, Ajinca, Withey

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mrald8y

We would probably need to offload some players to a third team. I would also like to replace Ariza if his production didn't pick up with Jrue as PG.

I am confident that Ariza will look and be much more effective if he becomes the legit 5th option offensively rather than the 3rd option.

All that being said....if we can acquire a superstar 3 man that is a legit first to third option by trading Ariza I'm all for it.
