DMO has always have the best +~ in the game, Id say lets keep him on the floor for 40mins and start the streak. The guy is obviously playing every night with extra motor and he could become a 20 pts. per game player with 50% fg shooting.

    DMo's 3PT shooting:

    October-November:
    6/26 (23.07%)

    December:
    8/23 (34.78%)

    January:
    6/15 (40.00%)

    December-January:
    14/38 (36.84%)

That being said, still needs to be posted-up much more than he was being lately... I almost wish he wasn't shooting so good from the three so that McHale would have to use his post-game instead.

I just want him to average 12-15 FGA each game, most of them being postups. Seriously, is our coaching staff that dumb? Don't they remember the stretch when Dwight was out? Or is it that we're just coddling Dwight's ego?

My money is on Howard's ego. All superstars or former superstars have egos the size of planets.

Why can't Dwight's ego do something about Josh's field goal attempts?

I think they are trying to address that with the recent rotation change. Instead of Smith coming in for Dwight, he's coming in for DMo. When Dwight sits in the later part of the 1st (and then Harden at the beginning of the 2nd), DMo becomes the focal point of the offense.

When Harden and Dwight are sitting, the offense needs to be predicated on 2 things:

    1) Fastbreak - Brewer and Smith need to push the ball as much as possible.
    2) DMo postups - Every single half court set should go through DMo in the low block. I'm fine with a hook shot, pass out to a 3 point shooter, or hitting a slashing guard/forward.

D-Mo's post game is a thing of beauty.... and it's only getting better...

I wouldn't be surprised if DMo becomes rusty again with his moves... We're not even giving him any post-ups to maintain his confidence in his skillset.

There's some really good post defenders in that video that DMo takes to school.

I don't know if it's McHale, or if it's just that the players don't like going to DMo in the post. They ignore him when he has position quite a bit but they don't seem to mind posing Harden, Howard, or even Smith up anytime they are in the post. There have even been games where players were more willing to post up Joey F'n Dorsey than DMo. Unless McHale is specifically telling them to not give the ball to DMo in the post, it sounds like a player problem.

I don't think McHale is stupid. It's just that he's coddling Dwight too much. Enough is enough, it's about time someone told Dwight his post-game sucks.

Hence me constantly asserting that he needs to grow a pair and start screaming for the ball. It was the same as my view on Lin. Stars get touches, they get leeway, they get offensive schemes. Players who were not born into NBA "nobility" do not just get things handed over to them. If they want something, they have to SEIZE it. If D-Mo wants touches and others aren't giving him touches, he needs to do something about it. If he can't convince McHale to pass on the directive, he needs to convince the players.

LOL, what do you want him to do? Scream and stomp his feet? Walk up and take the ball away? Start a fight in the locker room?

If we're being real, there's not a lot the player can do about it if the other guys are too dumb to give him the ball in the post.

Actually screaming/yelling is what I want to see. I want to see him establish the post early and yell for the ball. If he doesn't get the ball, talk to the ball handler and demand for the ball. I don't think fisticuffs and stampy feet are necessary though. :p D-Mo is on a team full of players that think themselves alpha dogs once Harden and Howard sit. It is up to players to establish a pecking order after that if the coaching staff does not.
