I would not mind seeing that Dallas team in the Playoffs.

I want no part of seeing Rick Carlisle in the Playoffs.

    Steve Kerr
    Terry Stotts
    Dave Jaeger
    Rick Carlisle
    Doc Rivers
    Pop
    Jeff Hornacek

We have a team with greater talent than at least 4 of those teams. And another one of those is marginal at best due to their season so far (Clips)

Yet I would only call us favourites in the Phoenix series.

Playoffs are when coaches come out to play. I can't help but think we are going to be exposed yet again by all the greats leading their teams into the Western Conference.

And we'll be down 1 in a potential Game 7 and all our coach can do is "just play harder guys, run, just play harder"

Meanwhile the opposition is drawing up plays and then backup plays to combat whatever it is we do - things which would make McHale's head spin.

WE can beat ANY team out West with a half decent coach instead of a clueless cheerleader like McHale pretending to be a coach.

Look at the list of WCF teams coaches with the exception of Scott Brooks. They'll all run circles around McHale come playoff time and the coward will just sit there saying "play harder guys". We have such a handicap that it is very unfortunate.

I'm still not sold on GS as of yet... They remind me too much of the 1980 Bucks...

    ROFL.... No problem...

The make up of the Bucks and the Warriors are very similar and there play is very similar...

In that era the Bucks believed in out scoring their opponents, they relied heavily on their guards (Moncrief and Pressey). There philosophy worked great in the regular season, but not in the playoffs...

Kerr, is doing same thing with the warrriors, almost Deja Vu... The problem is, his style of play will not work in the playoffs.... My guess is that, he's trying to create the same type of team they had in chicago, but Curry is no Jordan and Klay is not Pippen... Those guys brought an intensity to the game like no other when they played together.

Ha ha ha...The Warriors are #1 in defensive efficiency. To suggest that they are trying to beat teams on offense alone is so painfully far from what the first half of the season shows.

There is nothing gimmicky about how the Warriors play. No team is favored against the field, but to think that their style of play doesn't give them a real shot at success is crazy.

No. Rockets started fast with Canaan, but he got injured in the first half. And like always Crawford smoked us. Last time Rockets beat the Clippers was in 2013. Clippers have won 10 of 11 games dating back to 2012. Rockets should just spot them 10 points the moment they pull into the driveway.

The Bucks played in a time when the East was stacked. They went to the Conference Finals two years in a row and lost to the Dr. J-Moses led Sixers and the Bird-McHale led Celtics. Those teams won the championship in those same years and were two of the best teams in the decade. It's not like the Bucks were cream puff in the playoffs.

I agree that the Warriors are in a similar situation now. The West is stacked and they might well be beaten in the playoffs by another great team. But I am not sure that the Warriors (and the old Bucks) are only good for regular seasons.

I don't fully believe in the Warriors not because I don't think they are good but because the last time a fully healthy Thunder or Spurs team was knocked out of the western conference playoffs was 2011 (WCF Dallas over Thunder). Despite their struggles now, I would still pick either of those teams (if at full strength) to be the Warriors in a 7 game series even if the Warriors look superior in record, current production and depth of roster.

    you just made my point....

The warriors are playing in a time when the WEST is stacked and the warriors are not cream puffs...

Both of their teams compliment their guard play.... The Sixers had inside play with Doc and Darryl (Name my Dunks) and Bird with Parrish/McHale..

Although Lanier was good he was often hurt... (Warriors Lee and Bogut.. hint hint)... Pressy and Moncrief were better defenders than Curry and Thompson.... The problem is to come out the west you will need an inside game (Spurs, Rockets, Mavericks and Thunder all understand this)...

Just my comparison of Deja Vu on both the teams... Same thing people are saying about the Warriors being the new King of the west is the same they said about the Bucks being the new King in the East...

Our offense has quietly been creeping into a level of efficiency that you can definetly win with in the playoffs if the defense holds.

If were heading into the playoffs as a top 3-5 defense and near top 10 offense(currently 14th) I think we will be just fine.

But you are right, GS has what ALL teams are looking for, top 5 efficiency in both.

I'm beginning to wonder how we ever win a game against anybody.

Don't all these opposing coaches see how easy it is to beat Houston?

And the Mavs have been creeping up in defensive efficiency, too. Since the Rondo trade, they've actually had a better defensive efficiency rating than the Rockets have (15 games for Mavs, 17 for Rockets).

    True.

The playoffs this year, especially the 1st round in the west, are going to be a trip.

Really good teams are going to lose.

Of course people will try to draw stupid narratives out of it if certain teams win or lose, when the very very simple truth to it all is that the west is stacked. As long as OKC sneaks in over PHX and NO, I don't think there will be any top 4 seed that is a lock to win their first round matchup and I envision at least 3 game 7s.
